At this point I just want to see J Dub win again.

A total of 1,134 players have skated for Stanley Cup championship teams since the trophy was first awarded to the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association (Mtl. AAA) hockey club in 1893. Of the 1,134 winners, 626 (55.2%) have won one Cup title, while 508 (44.8%) have won on two or more occasions.

Henri Richard holds the record for playing on the most Stanley Cup champions, winning 11 times in his career. During Richard's 20 years with the Montreal Canadiens from 1955- 56 to 1974-75, "The Pocket Rocket" never played more than four consecutive seasons without earning a new Stanley Cup ring.

With four Stanley Cups Justin Williams would definitely be joining very select company. Hell, with three he is already in very select company.

I bet no player has won it with one team, left won two with another team, and then returned to the first team they won it with to win Lord Stanley again.

Perhaps but it matters most if they build on it. If not then it was a costly gamble. They are going to have to sign Duchene and Dzingel now and that is going to take a lot of cap plus replace Panarin and Bob. Can’t sign them all so at the end of the day, they will most likely ice a team that’s missing some of the guys they ended the season with and probably not be able to replace them with comparable talent.

I just think that they gave up a ton of the future for a series win but if that’s enough for their fans then it’s all good.

Late 1st round picks are just not that valuable, the odds of getting an impact player there are just not that great. Once you get higher than 15th overall, the odds of getting a player that actually plays 200 games drops below 50% really fast. I don't believe that a couple of late 1st round draft picks would have nearly the same amount of impact on that Blue Jackets franchise as sweeping the Lightning did. That has become the defining franchise moment and without a doubt has created some new lifelong fans.

Over the past 3 postseasons the Sharks have averaged 4.46 powerplays per game which is by far the most in the league, the following teams are the Avs at 3.87 and the Knights at 3.48. The average of all teams with at least 10 games during that stretch is 3.18. It's kind of crazy how much they have benefited from calls recently.

Their penalty differential has been absolutely obnoxious for years--last I checked it was something like 200 more positive than the next closest team--so when they whine about the refs, it rings really hollow, as there's literally not another team even close to benefiting like they have this decade.

Combination of being really good and really divey and whiney.

It really is crazy, I looked into it for fun due to an argument with a Sharks fan, but was not expecting that big of a differential. There really is no room for that franchise to complain, yet they are some of the biggest complainers in the league(come to think of it, that may be why they get so many calls).

disagree with you here dee

Bob was very good most of the series but that first goal in game 5 should have been saved. that goal changed the complexion of the game. you have to make the save when it counts the most.

Agree on making the big save, and he did that, time and time again. THe only reason they weren't losing by a bigger margin was due to his saves. In 1-0 game, the team in front of him needs to score.
Very few goalies make every save.

Billington with practically no shots against. Just watch one good shot by Dallas and it'll be over.

As much as I’d love to have the Kings in the playoffs, it’s nice to be able to sit back, relax and watch a Game 7 OT without being on pins and needles and about to shave a couple years of my life.

Had enough of that experience during the World Cup this past summer.

The Kings are a long way away from being a good team when you look at the skill in these playoffs. It's like an entirely different league of talent. They need to really hit on this draft and have their kids elevate.

They really haven't played at this level of intensity in a long, long time. The level of play in their last two playoff appearances certainly can't be compare either.
