Its depressing with all these kids looking great, but I just can't excited about another LD prospect.

Zero openings in the NHL, barely any openings in the AHL...

Give them as much time as possible and make sure they're ready.

I imagine Gilmour and O'Gara will walk from the AHL team. Bergman may go, too.

Wouldn't surprise me if Smith is left in the AHL and bought out at the end of the 2019-2020 season if he can't be traded. I'd see Claesson kept at 7th D or moved.

If all that happens, I'd expect to see Hajek up, with Lindgren getting a stint, too.

The trickle-down from all that would be 3 open spots in Hartford.

Ragnarsson had a a tough draw, playing 3rd pair (sometimes 2nd) on a bad team. He always looked pretty good to me. Skates well, passes well, showed a little edge. Sometimes he'd freelance which didn't go well, and seemed to result in him losing minutes. He's young though.

Själin always looked so steady and smooth. I love watching him. If he can stay healthy and keep developing he has NHL quality to his game.

Leksands has a chance to win promotion in the play offs but Själin is still out with a concussion.

It is a long way to get there though.

Reg season no 1 plays against no 2.
The winner Allsvenskan finals advances to the SHL qualifiers against the bottom team of the SHL season. The loser of the Allsvenskan finals has a 2nd chance by taking on the winner of the play off series which is a round robin between teams ranked 3-8 in the regular season.

The winner of that match up then goes through to the SHL qualifiers where they play the team finishing in 13th in the SHL

Just like they did it in the BHL (Byzantine Hockey Leauge) back in the 15th century.

This is wrong. Reunanen had 22 points as an u21 D-man this season. The final 3 points were after his 21st birthday. How does the official stats and info account get this wrong?

I think they're just referring to the whole season as a U21 season for Reunanen, using Dec 31 as the cutoff. Similar to how they determine WJC U20 or U18 eligibility.

They are very careful with their wording, but it is misleading.

"Reunanen finished the regular season with more points than any other U21 defenseman in Liiga (25)"

That's just not true.

I mean the truth is they should always be 100% accurate, disclose what methodology they're using in determining ages, credit their sources, etc. But the reality is that 99.9% of the people that specific account reaches couldn't care any less. They just want to hear good stuff about our players and prospects and pay no matter to the minutiae or why something might be only correct if interpreted a certain way. Like all team-affiliated Twitter accounts, it's a marketing tool, and nothing else. So, frustrating as their tweets may be to the small number of us that do actually care, we form such a small minority that it makes no difference at all to the Rangers and their Digital Marketing department or whoever runs it.
