2018-19 Stanley Cup Playoffs part III: Final 4

The Sharks don't have a 1st or a 2nd in this upcoming draft.

They don't have a 1st in the 2020 draft either, and if they make the SC finals this year they will also lose their 2020 2nd rounder.

If they advance to the SC finals this year and re-sign Karlsson they lose their 1st in 2021 as well.

So I guess we should be hoping they beat St. Louis and lose to Boston, then sign Karlsson to a terrible contract in the off season.

"Sharks face tough odds
The Sharks will have to join the 2014 Los Angeles Kings to become the second NHL team to win three Game 7s to reach the Cup Final.
When the conference finals/semifinals are tied 2-2, the winner of Game 5 is 19-8 (70.3 percent) in the series."

No way that can happen, such little chance of it with all the injuries.

Just shows you how special that run was. The fact it was through San Jose, Anaheim and Chicago makes all the sweeter.

Dang it Voynov and Richards/Lombardi for screwing up that squad.

The driver is Brent Burns and the rest of the team is in the back.

If his facial hair didn't scream predator, the satin black windowless extended van certainly does!

The thought occurred to me today that had the Kings made the SCF and lost, 3 LA teams would've lost to a Boston team in the finals. That would've sucked.

i stopped worrying about that right about the time the dodgers lost to the red sox last october

They're setting themselves for a future rebuild like us moving all those high picks, except we got something to show for it.

No way the Blues could recover in Game 7 if they blow this chance in Game 6.

Side note: Can I go to a page on this site without some random ad getting in the way? WTF, HFboards?

This site is almost unreadable now on mobile. And they still expect people to pay for sponsorships when the site crashes every trade deadline, July 1st and draft.

If you flip a coin twice, the chance it comes up heads twice in a row is 25%. Hate to tell you this, but the loser of game 5 still has a decent chance to win the series. Not gonna say that the Sharks will do it, but you'll just have to wait until the game(s) are played.

If the Blues want to finish it this is their chance. Hertl, Pavelski, and EK might not play today. Well, not like EK has been helping them, so it doesn't matter if he's in or not.

This is the kind of game that can trap a home team. The San Jose lineup is going to try to play the perfect low-scoring road game tonight.

The Blues need to jump on Martin Jones early.

Karlsson sitting will probably help San Jose, but they lose Hertl. Pavelski is a game time decision.

If San Jose gets eliminated, how many Sharks fans will say it's because of crap reffing who let the Blues headhunt their top guys?

They still love to bring up Brown ruining Hertl's career until he miraculously came back and succeeded in spite of Brown, the evil villain who ruins children's dreams.
