This really helps Myers getting a chance on the starting line up. I'm very okay with this .

And Simmonds was one of our best PK guys last year.

With MacDonald out, it'll be Folin at RHD, and probably Hagg at LHD as the second pair.
Sanheim will have to show he can handle traffic in his D-zone to play on the PK.

You are right Sanheim will indeed benefit from this, but Myers will unquestionably get more of a chance to force hexys hands.

And Simmonds was one of our best PK guys last year.

He was, despite his injury. Yet his PK ice time inexplicably dwindled as the season went on. He averaged :51 of ice time for the season. Over the first 41 games, he saw 1:13 of PK time per game. Over the last 41, where he played in 33 games due to the hand injury, he averaged 0:14. So for some reason, the coaches decided not to use him on special teams.
