No. Sunday noon game, so there is a good chance our boys look like we are mailing it in more than them.
I am taking the tyke to his first game tomorrow. He thinks opponents sitting in the box is hilarious. Hopefully there are lots of scrums to energize the crowd.

Hope your son enjoys the game - let's hope he gets to see Ovie score a goal (or two, or three)!

Having the kid witness an Ovi hat at his first game, that would be a KICK ASS first memory to look back on one day. Of course, I would remind him regularly. I wonder if Ovi hoisting the cup will be his earliest memory...
Thanks for reminding me to bring a hat... I will make sure to bring my autographed Jeff Schultz lid for the kid to toss.

It's been very tight all year. Many posters spent months panicking about the Caps not making the playoffs even as they sat second in the division for most of the season.
Now the hysteria of the month is about winning the division even as they've been in first for most of the past several weeks. I personally don't care if they finish first or second (or really even third) in the Metro.
Home ice meant squat for them last playoffs and the matchups are gonna be what they're gonna be. Just get there without any more injuries and get after it.

Pens have also played one more game than us.
That all said, our end of season schedule is a gauntlet, which I prefer because we're going to be rolling in having played playoff brand hockey.

I actually hate the Isles more because of Trotz. I so badly want them to lost in R1, but since they'll probably be playing Pitt, that series will be an epic disappointment no matter what.

I am grateful to him for his role in last season's breakthrough. But no. I am not a big Trotz defender and in fact think he pretty well screwed the Caps in the end.

Coyotes are terrible, Caps sleepwalking vs Minnesota was a huge missed opportunity to gain in the division.
