Given the 52 year gap, the I think the boys in TO could challenge your bolded statement. But imo it's close.
I would add San Jose and Nashville to the list.
The Bolts have at least won a Cup.

The thing that sucks about being so good is it's hard to enjoy the journey. When you're as good as Tampa is this year it's Cup-or-bust which makes every goal against and every loss in the playoffs excruciating, almost to the point where the games stop becoming enjoyable because you feel like you're going to throw up the whole time (or at least I did). What made last year so amazing was the journey it took this team to get there. Some fans waited 40 years, some 20, some 5, but all suffered through some serious heartache in order to savor that moment. And me personally, I wanted the Caps to win but more than anything I wanted the Caps to win while Ovechkin was still in DC. He's done so much for the city that I genuinely wanted him to be rewarded and it was everything I had hoped it would be seeing it happen.
The Caps caught fire last year and finally caught some breaks. Playoff hockey is about luck. There are probably 20 "ifs" I could list off the top of my head that happened last year that if they don't go the Caps way the Caps probably don't win the cup. As good as Tampa is they have a 1-in-5 chance at winning which ain't great odds.
All this is to say: enjoy the journey. It's special to be a fan of a team like the Caps or the Lightning. Many teams will never experience the level of success these teams have accomplished. And success is not always linear; some times you have to take a few steps back or sideways to move forward. Maybe that's what happened to Tampa last year and this is their year. I'm hoping obviously for a repeat but I firmly believe the Caps, Pens, or Bolts will be hoisting the Cup this year -- good luck!
Canes could go 5-5 finish with 97 points |

Habs could go 5-4 finish with 93 points |
Arizona 6-3 last 9 games - finish with 90 points

Dallas could go 5-4 - finish with 92 points
St Louis could go 6-3 finish with 96 points
Colorado could g0 4-5 to finish with 84 points |
I've been looking over the remaining games schedule for the regular season. Here are my thoughts.
I'm trying to be balanced in my assessments and saying a team is expected to win if they are playing a non-playoff
or bubble team.
The Blue Jackets have an easy schedule ahead. The Habs is more challenging and they are likely to fall short.[TBODY] [/TBODY]

Even if they went 6-3 or 7-2 they could still miss the last spot
The West is pretty much a done deal. The Wild aren't even beating crappy teams (like Colorado tonight) and will almost certainly not make it.[TBODY] [/TBODY]

Arizona have a very easy schedule and would have to be awful to miss the playoffs.
Colorado are an outside chance but they have a tough schedule and would need a couple of upsets to make it
Haven't had time yet to see what the likely playoff matchups will be based on remaining schedule. Obviously we know Bos-Tor and Lightning vs 8, but the rest still not decided.
The summer can be brutal, but it's nice being able to do most things outdoors 6-8 months of the year.I dream of living where I can golf all year around...tell me more...sigh.....do you love it?

It doesn't hurt that "small city" life seems to fit me perfectly. Not much congestion, but closer to great restaurants, records stores, dog parks, and tons more stuff to do than I ever seemed to have nearby in MD.
No snow, hills of any kind, or Civil War history to speak of, though...
Cute! FL-AZ is the epitome of a non-hockey game. Did the tix cost like $5 each?View attachment 202867 I am currently at the Panthers/Yotes game with 3000 of my closest friends (and my son).
Also the food here is horrible. I will never complain about Capitol One again.
I rag on NHL.TV a lot and for good reason. But the new non-flash viewer is quite nice.
A rested CAR at home could take 2 points from a tired TBL
With Aisles losing 5-0 and now 4-0, their goal differential with us is now a negative. Went from +8 to -1 in two games.
They don't.What a horrible in game experience this has been. Literally the only good thing was sitting on the glass for $16.
No out of town scoreboard, no attempt to get the fans into the game, very quiet, older crowd. I don’t know how the players get up to play here.
