Too bad Woll didn't sign an ATO in order to report to the Marlies. Woll and even Scott might be a step up from what we have down there right now.Marlies not gonna go far in the playoffs with Kaskisuo in between the pipes, are they?
Injuries happen and it's not like we'll be able to keep everyone long-term.
Brooks might get a call-up similar to Moore if/when injuries hit and they will go from there.
He's got a chance, significant improvement over the start of last year.Does Brooks project to be a centre at the next level though is the question.
Depending on how the Goat does this playoffs, Brooks could have a chance to make a case in training camp.
Absolutely. I think of Plekanec when I watch him. His speed has come so far and he's now one of the sneaky-fast skaters on the team. He'll be a 4th line/depth centre are the very least in my opinion. His numbers don't tell the whole story and I agree with the other poster that said he's a candidate for a breakout year in 2020. I said the same about Moore last year and look at him now.Does Brooks project to be a centre at the next level though is the question.
Ton of Marlies scratches tonight.
Marchment scratched as well.

Brooks is almost at non-prospect level for me in terms of having any NHL significance.
He might just be a Quad A all star
I'm unfamiliar with Brown.Interested in seeing Brown as he is the son of a friend of a friend. He was offered an ELC, but chose to sign an AHL deal with the Marlies (and bet on himself).
It would take a lot. Brooks is still exempt, and the Marlies still need him.
He needs a ton of work. Even if he did well, I think at best he's looking at a mid-season call up next year.
Most likely outcome, but for an organization you have to keep developing these guys with the outside chance one or two of them turn into Yanni Gourde for some reason. But yeah, generally the group of Timashov, Brooks, Carcone, etc. aren't all that exciting.
He played with RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology). He was second in Goals in the NCAA division 1 in the 2017/18 season with 29. Power forward type (almost 6'3"), late growth spurt and late bloomer. Good old Lou offered him one. But he's a diehard Leaf fan, and saw a better path at LW with the Leafs than the Isles. OK skater, but he makes his living around the net.I'm unfamiliar with Brown.
Where did he play? Are you able to say who offered him the ELC?

Its Div 1 but not sure why as I have never heard of most of those AHA Schools. That's where Pooley, Ferguson and Plouffe were stars and they are Growlers. Very few drafted players play there and their best and brightest are not successful at the AHL level. Anything is possible I guess, but if you look at the talent level he is coming from he seems to be a big fish in a pretty small pond. I have never seen him play, but I sense he is NFLD bound. If he can stick in the AHL that is huge.
Oh it's a personal thing. Kid has had to overcome obstacles his whole career. And he just kept developing and getting better. I know his odds are long, but it was the Isles who were willing to give him an ELC. He wants to be a Leaf if he could. Its Div 1 but not sure why as I have never heard of most of those AHA Schools.
