I don't think his contract will be done in time.

It's fine TBH. We have so many other guys to look at, that we will take a look at him in rookie camp probably.

OMGG I was so disappointed, I really thought the Marlies game was today (I missed the last few). So now I have to wait another day

Engvall on the 4th? I get giving Brown a look but still.

That's a really young top 4 for the Marlies tonight too.

A pre-cursor to next years Marlies D. Gonna be a young group. The 19 and 20 year old Swedes will practically be the grizzled vets with three seasons exposure between them.

I wonder if they'll even have room for a vet like Loverde next year. Could potentially have Liljegren,Lindgren,Rasanen,Duszak,Hollowell on the right side.

Very young on the right side....gotta get those guys the game time. Definitely room for a vet presence on the left, tho.

Our RD vets look done TBH. I wouldn't bring back LoVerde or Oleksy even if we needed RD. Considering we don't, we definitely shouldn't.

I'd expect the latter 4 are the RD for next year. I still think Liljegren is in the NHL next year. LD will probably have two spots go to vets, with the other one going to a prospect like Gordeev probably.

Marlies win 3-2

Gordeev survives another day too.

Guelph wins 4-3, only the 5th time a higher ranked team lost in the OHL playoffs this year vs. the like 43 times they've won. It's been a bloodbath by the top 4, and then the top 2, teams in each conference.

Brooks scored, Sandin and Bracco got assists

Brooks production seems to have elevated in the second half of the season ... Bracco now leading the league in scoring.

I wonder if Gordeev's team gets punted before the AHL playoffs if they might give him a game, just to get a look at him at the AHL level?

He's getting plenty of opportunity now, Marchment coming back hasn't hurt either, those two play off each other very well

I wouldn't bring them back either but they usually have at least a few guys on those NHL deals that play for the Marlies.

But like you said there maybe a LD option out there. Assume Borgman and Sandin will be there. Can't see us not taking advantage of the contract slide again with Sandin and 4 LD on the Leafs already in Rielly, Muzzin,Dermott,Rosen.

They play, and probably, lose on Friday in London.
