Same can be said for every contact sport. I am not, nor have I ever been a fan of, the NHL's injury reports.

I get it. "Doughty has a shoulder, let's target it"

But at this point, with the league being as soft as it is, I think it's just the herd following itself.

I also know that hockey fans, by and large, like this top-secret injury report style of the NHL. I don't. To each their own.

True, but even football has their....games, guy can be questionable all week long until Sunday then play etc,

I wonder if part of it is is HIPPA, maybe they aren't allowed to release full details etc

It isn't HIPPA. It's Vegas letting the league have it for now. Once "better" money infiltrates the NHL, to a fraction of which it plays in other top sports, it will change. Until then, the NHL gets to be as coy and vague on NHL injuries as they please. Money talks. Like I said, it's almost endearing. Almost.

Whether or not it's HIPAA, I value the patient's privacy and don't feel the health information of athletes is any of our business.

An understandable but unfortunate stance.

You pay taxes everyday for public goods, such as police, fire, trash, school, etc. Do you feel every police officer, fireman, teacher garbage collector, etc should have their health made public since you pay for those services?

What about TV shows and movie sagas you are a big fan of? Should their health be made public, too?

People have the right to have their health privacy protected. I understand WANTING to know. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious, but the exact reason someone is not physically healthy should not be made public without the patient's consent. That's just my stance, though.

I was knowingly making a false equivalency. Wasn't serious

Can the Kings get Kyle Dubas drunk and convince him that trading William Nylander for Tyler Toffoli and Jake Muzzin is a terrific idea?

This is a secondary reason why I feel holding off selling players is important. What's the point of trading for younger and more talented players when management and staff can't develop or utilize that talent?

It's better to watch the vets lose value or retire? It's time to clean house. If Robitaille and Blake won't do it, they should be outta here.

I'm just saying it doesn't matter how much play-doh you have to mold for the future if you have a two year-old who thinks mixing it with **** will make it better.

Blake had the benefit of the doubt from me since he made the gradual moves he should have made. But if he's insisting on having directionless hockey and utilizing staff who can't develop effective forwards to save their lives, then yes he needs to go.
