We're gonna get arguably the best forward prospect not in the NHL for a pending UFA coming off his worst year!

It's like they haven't watched Bergevin self-immolate every time he makes a move. Impressed by the eternal hope I guess.

He keeps dangling that carrot in front of the fanbase and they just follow along. My god, the entire media had everyone believing it was a done deal, but fell through because of a non existent extension he turned down.

Do not, I repeat, Do NOT go in there talking **** and bragging about coulombs.

This is revenge for the 93 stick gate incident. Who would have thought that the Kings would have 2 Cups since then, Montreal 0 and they're desperate for attention.

GMBlake signs Kovalchuk and then sabotages the Canadiens plans for patches. Offseason is a success in my book!

There’s not a franchise I hate more than Montreal because of that final.

While it's nice for Kopitar to have better finishers on his line, I don't like his game as much when he defers and passes the puck too much. To be most effective Kopitar needs to carry the puck and dominate the middle of the ice and drive the puck right into the blue paint. Wingers with good hands will help clean up more of the rebounds and loose pucks Kopitar creates in front of the opposition's net.

Yeah, it's the Gaborik thing a little bit, right? Definitely don't want him to become too deferential again; he was so effective this year by being a bit of a hog in the slot.

No need to play Kovalchuk with Kopitar if that's what happens, you can put Pearson, Kopitar Brown together, and use Kovalchuk, Carter, Toffoli, it just depends on if chemistry is there...

I wonder what else Blake plans on doing if anything. Does he make a trade before Voynov's hearing on the 2nd? Does he try and pick up someone in Free-Agency?

All people need to do is go back and watch all of Gaborik's goals in the 2014 playoffs. I think he scored 14 goals. They maybe traveled a combined distance of 60 feet. Probably a bit of an exaggeration on my part, but you all get the idea.

Kopitar needs to do what he does best, and his wingers need to adapt to him, not the other way around.

Rumor is LA is in on DeHann. If they get I imagine one of Muzzin or Martinez will for sure be gone for some forward help.

I hope LA holds onto Voynov till after the hearing. Once he is cleared to comeback his rights will be worth a shit ton more than they are now.

Calvin de Haan isn't even an upgrade over Jake Muzzin or Alec Martinez. It'd only make sense if we were saving a couple million.
