Remember when the Kings had a brief stinct of good marketing? Yeah, me neither. That Allstar commercial as cringy as it was is one of the good ones I remember. It's interesting that the Kings rarely involve the players in any marketing that has them interacting with fans or such. Like Crosby, Malkin, Pavelski, and Burns are still going door to door for the fans meanwhile Kopitar is trying to metal detect his cup ring. There's a serious lack of marketing and the effort is just poor. Sorry for the vent guys, it's just that I've been noticing this for years, it's the video editor in me lol
It's ridiculous. If only they had hired me for video editing back in 2009 this wouldn't have happened! Oh well, at least I got to go inside their office which was pretty cool. They can continue their mediocrity.Yeah, marketing, production, video... all things you would think would be no problem in a city like LA, but have been forever.

LOL I knew it would be a long shot considering I was 18 with little experience but they were the ones who contacted me after I made some tribute on YouTube. It just sucks how the marketing/production part hasn't really grown. It's night and day comparing the Kings staff to the Sharks, Preds, Stars, etc.All the flavors you could be and you chose to be salty.
One year in and Vegas and their marketing department are well ahead of whatever the hell the message is the Kings are trying to convey with their ads.
How is Amadio on face-offs?
I know Thompson was one of the best in the NHL last year which is weird he's on RW.
A loser is a loser, first round or last.Losing in the Cup Final being the worst thing to happen to a team in its inaugural year, or going out in the first round on a whimper in a sweep. Hmm...

It's been a long time since I've been this mad at the team. Maybe the dying breaths of Terry Murray. Pretty close to rooting for utter failure to flush Stevens. Unfortunately now he has an alibi with injuries so he can go full stupid without reservation.

I would have gone up and left if that was the case Just a bunch of frames on the walls with memorable moments. When you were there, did they have an idea board with things like “Play Hard” and “Serious Hockey” on it?
I don't know about you but I enjoyed that Cup run in '93 a hell of a lot more than when they missed the playoffs in '94, '95, '96, '97, got swept in '98, missed the playoffs in '99, and got swept again in '00. Then that little run they had in 2001 was a fun ride, versus losing out in the first round in '02 and then missing the playoffs from 2003 to 2009.
I guess I value seeing a team put up more of a fight, which would be a welcome sight to see the next time the Kings make the playoffs.
I went up to Vegas for the last presason game last Friday. That's my 3rd visit there and those fans sure are annoying. I will really enjoy it when their team faces mediocrity or futility. I do respect the fact that they are totally into the game and support the team. I don't like the obnoxious fans both tourists and locals. The thing that sucks for the people up there that support the team is the outrageous ticket prices which I'm guessing is primarily inflated because of the tourist draw. I know they get a good draw from the locals as well but the tourists compound the problem. Their merch must be a cash cow. Anyone know where their merch ranks in sales? You see it all over the casinos and I can't imagine many of those people are locals.
