Man, we just played a 4-game series against Boston and managed to avoid Price AND Sale, who are both healthy.

I want to hear more from Gregg "Seamhead" Zaun and the evolution of the cutting edge of statistical analysis: ZARP.

So today I found out that Billy Hamilton is the greatest offensive player this generation, Shapiro better offer up Vlad + Bichette for him quickly before the Reds GM learns about this highly sophisticated stat and realize just how valuable of a player Billy Hamilton actually is.

Sadly if you want to get the ZARP king Billy Hamilton, you're going to need a time machine to take you back to the 1800s.

I don't get exactly the same final figure that the link you gave comes up with for ye olde Hamilton(e), but I do come up around 1.5. The current Hamilton only ZARPs a paltry 0.75

If you want to recruit the modern emperor of ZARPdom, you're going to have to settle for Albert Pujols (1.18), Miggy Cabrera (1.15), or Mike Trout (also 1.15) who all sit atop the active ZARP leaderboard tracking back to the start of the millennium.

Even the Indians feel bad. That guy could have scored easily but the third base coach stopped him.

Fisher Cats fan here (and I like the Jays).

It's like one step forward, two steps back.

It really felt like the end of the window when they didn't cash in last year.
Not sure where they go from here.

Man I just noticed how bad Loups season has fallen apart. It seamed like he was having a good year. I'm not sure what ****ed up his numbers so badly

Shapiro/Atkins are terrible.

I said fire Shaprio the minute we brought this guy in.

He failed to go all in last year when we had the chance, and he will likely fail to blow it up this year.

This paralysis in the middle of "what should we do" is what kills baseball teams. Either blow it up completely and get great prospects or pay the price for the chance to win a baseball season.

I'd be totally happy with a losing record this season if we actually went for it last year. He failed to capitalize on the great work of AA.

Time to blow it up.

Nothing against AA. But Shapiro and Atkins are now trying to fix the mess that AA left behind.
