Ehh, who advanced from the group and who didnt thanks to that game? While on paper the young team won, but in practice sweden won, since we only needed that 1 point, and when we had that 1 point in the 3th period sweden clearly started to play on the result and manage do that as well. What happen in overtime is not intrested, because it didnt have any affect on the group for us.

Plus other than the first 5 min, sweden was the better team.

It depends on how good the young player is and how tired the veteran is, can not generalise like that. W Nylander is also young and would probably be the best forward on the team, but would you really take A Nylander over Zetterberg?

There is only room for one Nylander in this team, and it's not you Alex.

Folin, Claesson and Oduya is not good enough.

Karlsson and his Ottawa will probaly advance to the second round.

So Brodin is our hope, but if Brodin declines aswell...

Going to attend the USA vs. Sweden match up. Hope Sweden ices a competitive roster.

Seeing as I am almost 99% sure Washington will eliminate The Leafs tonight I am hoping Matthews plays for USA and Nylander, who should have been a Canuck, plays for Sweden.

I don't really see what can happen for Wennberg contract-wise in the next 10 days that makes a difference. Doesn't seem like something that would be rushed. Or is good insurance enough?

The Federation seems to have a communication problem. First the tweet that says that Joel Lundqvist was added to the IHWC squad (the "NHL status before WC in Germany" page also had him as "accepted invitation to play the IHWC" before correcting it. And now this. Seems like their communication person is jumping the gun a bit. They are not a news paper, they don't have to publish the information ASAP. They need to make sure that what the communicate is correct.

1. Everyone wants William on this team.

2. Eriksson-Ek is well ahead of Alexander at this stage in their development. He's a year older, and plays a much more complete and mature game overall. He's more versatile and more ready for the men's international level.

With that being said, Eriksson-Ek is just a minor loss to this roster. And by that I don't mean to neglect his potential. He should have a bright future, as should Alexander Nylander.

No word yet, less than optimal contract situation, albeit better than Lehners situation. (Less important contract for Wennberg, probably a bridge deal, rfa instead of Ufa and GM is still in place)

The federation page does not list him either as accepted or declined. I am assuming he is invited, so either they have not been able to reach him or he is mulling it over
