I think you guys underestimate LaDue.

His name was in deadline rumors for a reason.

Right handed too.

Not on Sergachev's upside level but he has value.

Hell, didn't LA nix a trade for Landedkog because the ask was LaDue?

I'd imagine it was a lot more than just LaDue. At least the 2017 first was in there too. Probably another piece too.

Thought I'd share this...whether you like it or not. Hoven usually right.

That's not news

Slava would have had to apply(for reinstatement/Visa) well before the end of the 2016-17 season to even be considered for the 2017-18 season.

Also the KHL doesn't have an (out) clause in their contracts, the player has to buy himself out of it.

Slava was never coming back for the 2017-18 season.

Slava won't have a contract in 2018-19, that would be a better situation for him to apply for returning to the NHL.

I think this would be the best aquisition we could get right now

Agreed. Allows us to move Martinez or Muzzin for top line LW and still improve our defense with Voynov. Move McNabb.

Muzzin/Martinez-Doughty
Forbort-Voynov
Gravel/MacDermid-LaDue

That's a top 5 defense.

What would have been nice is to try Dominik Kubalik. He signed a deal in the KHL with Salavat Yulaev.

Bummer

I would love to have Voynov back...

Muzzin--Doughty
Fantenberg-Voynov
Forbort--LaDue
Gravel

Move Martinez for a winger and lose McNabb to Vegas.

Martinez + Clifford + Dowd for E. Kane (1.5m retention) + Girgensons
Sign Yakupov 2 years @ 1.2m

Kane--Kopitar--Yakupov
Pearson--Carter--Toffoli
Brown--Kempe--Brodz
Mersch--Girgensons--Lewis
Shore, Nolan

Not really digging that first line.. yakupov is a bust imo, but that D looks real solid.

Yakupov adds a young scoring threat and most likely will be a free asset because the blues won't qualify him at that large of a cap hit. I don't think he is a bust at all. Every team keeps trying to change his game to a more defensive style. I say that they should let him do what he does best and float around. Kind of like how Patrick Kane does in Chicago. LA definitely has the defensive guys/system to cover for his weakness.

I don't care much for E. Kane but I have a weird feeling that's who they will trade for if they don't sign Oshie (which I hope they don't).

Yak Skilled ?

Yakupov has 11 goals in his last 100 NHL games, that's Bottom six territory. Yakupov has fallen off a cliff.

That team hasn't got enough nasty. I'd like to see us pick up a borderline ****, marchand, shaw esque. Stoll was really underrated in that department during our successful years. D looks softs, Can fatenberg play top 4 in the nhl?

Stoll was definitely not underrated in the backbreaking penalty with 90 seconds left in a 1-0 game. If I had a dollar for every time he pulled that **** I'd buyout Gaborik myself.

Stoll sure did like to test out the strength of the glass, by driving people's heads and launching one-timers into it.

I agree with Damacles.

To give more specifics, Voynov voluntarily left in the middle of the deportation process. The normal response by US Immigration is to impose at the very minimum a 5 year entry ban on the person. If Voynov had not voluntarily left but rather waited for a judge to impose a deportation order, that ban would be 10 years.

Voynov can apply for a waiver of the entry ban. Such applications take 6 months to process. This means, if Voynov wished to make it to training camp, he would have had to apply for a waiver 6 months prior to the start - early March at the absolute latest.

But Voynov probably would want to get paid. Teams use up their available cap money in the first two weeks of the free agency period. July. To get a waiver by July (and voynov would still need to go through the visa application process), he would have had to apply in 2016.

2016 and time for the work visa application means he would be applying for re-entry into the US about one year after US Immigration tried to deport him. Length of time since he self deported is a factor. I can immagine the response from US Immigration given what Voynov pled no contest to being variations of

HELL NO!

Voynov is also under KHL contract. So Damacles explained it better than I would.

If Voynov comes back it changes everything and Kings could def move Muzzin or Martinez.

Doughty-Muzzin
Voynov-Forbort
LaDue-McNabb
Extra: Macdermid and Gravel

Or
Doughty-Forbort
Voynov-Martinez
LaDue-McNabb
Extra: Macdermid and Gravel

Kings are in deep trouble though if McNabb gets picked by Vegas and they deal Muzzin or Martinez and Voynov doesn't come back.

So, we're cool with Voynov now like Chris Brown?

Apparently we're cool with Stoll now too. He was so good when he left he barely played in 2 cities and is out of the NHL yet we miss him! Not me, like many King players Dean and Darryl were WAY too loyal to Stoll. And Darryl was giving him PP time cause he was one of his boys. Like Dwight King Stoll's minutes fell off a cliff once out from under the protection of the mumbling boss and received no PP time. Loyalty to bottom 6 players is a deadly curse.

Kings don't win in 14 if Stoll doesn't injure Vlasic.

He sucked the next season and he wasn't brought back. No big deal.

People miss valuable Stoll, not last season or Minnesota Wild Stoll.

Not sure if anyone has see Pierre LeBrun's latest Tweet, but LA is on Dion Phaneuf's willing to be traded 2. I know that his wife is on the netflix show the Ranch. So i can see why LA is on his list.

I miss CBJ Stoll.
