It was a 7th overall pick. Lias Andersson does not have high-end upside(not IMO). We just got rid of a 1st line center for a guy who doesn't have as high-end upside as other picks available.

hes a more complete player than stepan if you look at

skills
skating
shot
compete level
hockey iq
defensive play

he's very good at all the best stepan attributes like iq, defense and compete level and much better than stepan in the other areas.
