Like that quote from Ferraro.

"It's like there's a gang wearing #17. It's just one guy!"

Speaking of big centres being useless Dubios has been crap for the 2nd straight tourney. Maybe we should trade Duchene for him a tigger?:D

This # 8 for Russia is nasty... Undrafted too.

We know they didn't get it done, that's the main thing.

In addition we also know they were positioned better than most any NHL team to get it done, in terms of connections to Rouyn Noranda's organization. In terms of their constant viewing opportunities to be aware of him with multiple prospects on the team. Current teammates and friends of Myers that he might be able to play with in the future, or have talk up the org. Plus a better chance at a job opportunity on the blueline than most any NHL team.

We also know the Avs history of not identifying good defenseman, and not putting much effort into using tryouts to supplement their prospect pool.

Bottom line though, there's a consistent theme of just not getting it done and missing out on a D man they had a chance at.

Talking about an organization that drafted Barrie, Bigras, Meloche, Butcher, and Wood?

All of that is crap since they traded Wood I guess? They aren't great but they are not absolutely inept either.

And you don't have a damn clue if Myers is friends on even gives a flying **** what any of Avs kids do or say. Quit acting like you know anything regarding the situation, because you don't. The reasons you are sighting are not even close to giving you anything resembling an educated guess like you are insinuating either.

For the people who want the best compare of Jost. If you please, do a search for the player Kharlamov. He is dead now but was the best player in saw in my life after Orr, Gretzky and Mario.
Jost will be Sakic and more. It is my opinion.

They absolutely are inept. Butcher and Wood aren't an example of anything first of all, they have not proven themselves enough. Bigras and Meloche look solid, but they haven't made the NHL yet either. Plus their picks might even have been due to the direction of the VP who's no longer here. Barrie is a good offensive defenseman but is proving to be not as special as some thought.

They have been better recently but it's just not enough over a 10-15 year period. It's an organizational problem. Their record of finding good defenseman is absolutely pathetic compared to other organizations.

I'm not directing this toward you, but this "how do we know they didn't try" idea is an excuse I've seen here for the same blueline problem for 15 years. There is too much proof of them not getting it done to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Sakic and more is quite the claim.

Does Jost really have that high of a ceiling?

I was not certain before this week. I watched 2 matches NCAA and it is not always the good competition or style. If you watch this player off the puck and the strength, you see a 200' player. I can say he is special with a very very high limit. I say Sakic plus.

I hope that I will live enough long for all to laugh of me. Haha.

That's on Juulsen, you can't turn at the last second like that

So many players do that now. Then the hitter gets penalized every time. It's ridiculous. They're trying to prevent injuries by softening up the game, but making all these young players feel safe from getting hit is gonna result in a lot of injuries that never would have happened. They've never really learned to protect themselves.

I like that Canada doesn't just fill the team with high draft picks but are focusing on what kind of game they want to play when selecting players.

It seem ridiculous that Jost is getting no Pp time. They definitely need more puck poise and Jost seem so on have that in spades.
