I posted this Team Canada was much better than last year's before the opening game this tournament. I am even more sure of this now.

Coaching is infinitely better. This team has the pieces to medal, and I believe win the gold.

The roster is being deployed much more favourably than Lowry deployed last year. This team can roll 4 Lines, and 3 D pairings.

I feel good about this year's team.

Barzal, Chabot, Jost, have been standouts so far.

I agree Barzal and Chabot have been very good so far, and I have really liked Joseph's play as well. Barzal has looked much more impressive than Strome.

Barzal, Jost and Strome are all capable of carrying their own line and it makes this team very deep and dangerous.

Strome and McLeod have excellent chemistry together dating back to their minor hockey days and they went to the same high school. I'm expecting big things from them tonight.

I am hoping that Canada gives Ingram a shot against USA. Hart didn't look great in either game, essentially giving up three goals each time. He looks small out there. Hopefully Ingram's play (good or bad) dictates who gets the Canadian net in the elimination games.

Balanced line up, scoring can come from any line. This team continues to impress. They have not played their best game yet, so this also bodes well for Canada. Started slow tonight until Barzal potted a nice goal. So this team has yet to put together a complete 60 mins masterpiece. Key is to continue to get better as we head into the elimination rd. and perhaps a gold medal game.

How is Juulsen?

I think Montreal could have drafted someone Else. I see him as a third pairing in the NHL (didn't Lauzon go few picks after? And he is from the q)

I could be wrong. Not impressed. I even think that he has moved down the ladder on this team. Can anyone confiFm ?

I'm starting to get onto "let Ingram play against the US" boat. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of letting this Latvia game dictate who plays on Saturday I have to agree that it's time to give Ingram a real shot. Hart hasn't run away with the starters position and he hasn't been the best goalie he can be. I'm definitely on board with letting Ingram have the USA game and going from there.

my thought as well... I really dont like what I'm seeing so far from Hart

missed last night's shellacking of Latvia, but looking forward to the NY's Eve tilt with the Yanks. I'd look forward to it even more if both teams had ALL their players going at it. A McDavid v Matthews matchup would be a really good way to close out the year. dare to dream. one day....maybe someday...perhaps the new and incoming CEO of Hockey Canada can make it happen.

Though I agree with most of your post, I would argue that outshooting a team 44-6 qualifies as a 60 minute masterpiece. Giving up just 6 shots in a game is pretty much unheard of.

...except for the time my rec team once outshot an opponent 70-1. Fun game!

This. If that game wasnt a masterpiece, then there has never been a masterpiece.

Didn't see a GDT so I'll post this here.

I really want to watch the Can-US game tonight. I am located in Paris but have a totally legal Canada VPN through work (CDN Government). I tried TSN Go App but it said I need to log in using a Canadian tv service. In fact, I still had my Rogers account info but it did not work. Noting that this site does not condone or promote illegal streams, is my best bet to create an account with the various streaming options out there? I want to watch legally and am willing to pay. Surely there must be some way to do so. Thanks in advance for your help.

yeah, I agree as well. They really dont have alot to lose, if Canada finishes second, they will get still get a favourable match up in the quarters. And we get to see how good Ingram is. To me, it looks like Hart has lost some confidence. I think its better to get Ingram into a real game and see how he does, then make the decision for the quarters.

You beat a team that bad but kept counting shots?

Who cares about quarters, doesn't a loss ensure Sweden in the semis ??

Juulsen is ok. I've liked that he's tried to establish some physicality. Seems limited as a puck mover though. I prefer him to Bean though.

There is alsmost no downside to having Ingram play the next game. If he does and he is bad, then at least it is established and Hart is the guy. If Hart plays and is bad then Canada is in quite a predicament.

Renney is still the CEO.

Did you try just streaming it directly from TSN.ca?
