Mete scored the only goal of the period on a pass from Howden from behind the net. Dubois with the secondary and the screen in front. Not many stood out in that period. Pretty sloppy, which isn't surprising. I liked Roy down low, Dubois and Jost. Not surprising that those three (plus Speers and Geerahhh) formed a very dangerous PP unit.

Roy scored Canada's second goal during the second. Followed up after Joseph missed on a partial breakaway. Either Speers or a RHD sprung Joseph in the neutral zone. Third goal was Howden on a ti from the point during a two man advantage. Not sure who had the point shot, since the announcer was too busy to let us know. Hart came out of the game at the halfway point as part of the goalie rotation. He didn't let in any goals, but at that point U Sports only had 4 shots.

Nothing much happened in the third period. U Sports kind of gave up at some point. Canada hit several posts. No one stood out for me, other than maybe Dube, but he counteracted that by taking two penalties. Roy was probably the best player in the game.

Offensively , we have two nice playmaker with Strome and Barzal , so i think we have to separate them and make two good lines . I think Jost with a pure goalscorer Julien Gauthier will be a nice fit in first line .Raddysh impress to me , very gifted and have a nice vision . I talk to member of Team Canada and say to me that HC not love Dubois that much , because he not a game changer and have no quality #1 . He probably have is change at te beginning at the tournament on the 2 . Roy is strong and make what any player can make . Win face-off , playing well on PP and PK , with energy of Stephens and noise of Joseph , real goal scorer can make the difference in this tournament . Mcleod has one quality for make this team : Speed . His not the best stickhandler or the best playmake but is not cool to play against . Love the skilz package of Steel et Senyshin . At the D i think is easy . Chabot is the best defensemen on the team and Fabbro will be a very nice complement to him . Bean/Juulsen and Girard/Myers is 3 duo very equilibrated . I have the chance to play with Girard in Q and Team Canada have to take him . Very confident with the puck and have the best feet . Some say that is not a good fit in PP because have no shoot , but i have the chance to watch him regularly and i have a decent quick snap when he have space . I love the skilz package of Mete but i think Lauzon will be the 7 because if Bean or Girard have a bad tournament , Lauzon can play lot of minute , his safe .

Is my lineup at the start of tournament . For now i love Roy as the Center #3 but Steel could fit however . Stephens is a veteran so i think he will have a change in top 9 . All fourth line could be upgrade in tournament and is reason why i take them and not typycal power foward for dump and change

It is great to see a Quebecois in here who watches those players a lot and can give us a good roundup on what these players can do, we need more of you guys around here.

I'm watching this forum since very long time because i want to be a scout in my life . My english is poor but i will be my best . What is nice that i'm very young so i play basically against player 18-19-20 years in Q and player who have 16-17 i coach again them so .


For Girard , i think is a lot better than just a PP specialist . In 5 on 5 , i'm sur that is the best with the puck at this camp and have better vision than other . Some say is not good on defense but is not true : He have a pretty good stick and so good in tight area for beating F1 and make a solid first pass , so he never stick in her zone .
