Fitzpatrick is outstanding. So is Hart, but don't forget Zach Sawchenko either (very late 97 birth).

Who do you have as the leadership group? My picks are:
C - Konecny
A - Crouse (if he's there), Barzal

very late indeed, turns 19 during the tournament. I still have the 2 aforementioned ahead of him and Canada doesn't often take 3 goaltenders, HC will name just the 2 to the roster. But if they take 3, then Zach is the guy.

I like Konecny for Captain

Jost with an A. absolutely loving his game at the U18. real character guy and will be the go to guy coming back for the 2018 tournament.

and Chabot to wear an A or alternatively, as I like to call it, Captain of the D-corp.

Completely agreed on Jost. He's been the most impressive player, for any team at the U18s from what I've seen.

Chabot needs to play big as a returning vet on the blue line.

interesting to note that Jost is not 100% healthy either. There was even some doubt he would even be added to the U18 team due to injury. If he's healthy and feeling it at Christmas time, then he could indeed make a huge impact on the U20 team.

I've always liked his game, but I'm floored as to just how good he's been at this tournament.

I have Jost in my top 10.

If a team gets him from #11-20, absolute steal. Reminds me of Connor in that he could be the steal in the mid first round picks.

Jost - Barzal - Konecny
Dubois - Mcleod - Patrick
Beauviller - Merkley - Gauthier
Senyshyn - Stephens - Brown

Fabbro - Chychrun
Chabot - Bear
Bean - Day

Hopefully Crouse, Strome, and Marner are available. I think the Leafs would release Marner to come play in the WJC, especially on home ice.

Sean Day won't be there on the blue line either.

At this point I couldn't care less if Strome is there or not. He'll probably turn out pretty decent at the NHL level but right now in Juniors I just don't see him becoming the leader this team will need to win Gold on home ice. I don't know what will happen with Marner. Might be a Lazar situation which I'd be happy with.

Strome was one of Canada's best forwards this past year, and will be a better player (and better suited to the ice size) in 2017. He would be a huge addition to the team, though indications seem to be that he will not be available.

Schedule has been released:

My projection at the line-up after impressive U18s from certain players and before the Summer Showcase:

Crouse - Marner - Konecny
Jost - Barzal - Sprong
Dubois - Stephens - Beauvillier
Howden - N.Roy - Gauthier
Patrick

Chabot - Juulsen
Guhle - Fabbro
Chychurn - Meloche
Lauzon

Sawchenko
Fitzpatrick
Hart

Overall, a decent roster. I think we might be lacking a couple top high-end forwards. I like the bottom 6 though, quality, two-way, big players that are reliable. Nicholas Roy bounced back from a pretty bad season in his draft year. Bear, Brisebois, Bean, Spencer, are all solid defencemen, but not world junior calibre IMO. Not a fan of J.Roy either. A ton of checking/two-way talents, but need some more skill.

Benson, McLeod are all wild-cards. Hopefully they all trend up by quite a bit to be players on this team.

I like this roster. I'm struggling to project the forwards on this team. Seems like a shallow group, while there seem to be many defencemen in contention. I'm also fully expecting McDavid, Strome, Crouse and Marner to not be available. Getting either Strome or Marner (not a huge fan, but that's for another day) would be huge for this team though. Would not be shocked to see Dubois make the NHL as an 18 year old. As for Sprong, as far as I know he still doesn't have his Canadian citizenship.

Beauvillier Barzal Gauthier
Dubois Jost Konecny
Harkins Stephens Patrick
Howden Roy Senyshyn
McLeod

Chabot Fabbro
Lauzon Juulsen
Chychrun Roy
Bean

Fitzpatrick
Sawchenko

This is my guess at what Hockey Canada will do, assuming no McDavid/Strome/Marner/Crouse. Not a lot of forward depth. I'm also pessimistic about Merkley after his injury. A lot of defencemen available. I wouldn't pick Chychrun, but I suspect that Hockey Canada will. They might also consider Meloche, Bear, Guhle, Girard (new Ryan Ellis?) or various others. Goaltending... just hoping for something decent.

Not really sure where to post this so I'll try here, hopefully can be sent in the right direction. I am from Alberta and would like to get tickets for a couple games in either Toronto or Montreal doesn't matter, would like one Canada game though, can you only get the packages or when do they sell single games?

Here is the ticket information:

It appears that, at present, you can only buy a 13 game pack in Toronto, while in Montreal there are many more options.

I like this team but I would say Marner would be released
I would also think Crouse will also be there
STrome probably not
I like Merkley but am not aware of his situation
I really wish Sprong would play and can't imagine what all the delay is about
I think this team is every bit as good as USA and we will be favourites to win
