He seems to have been a learning sponge so far. I said in the GDT his two-way game was VERY apparent against the Blues, themselves filled to the brim with excellent two-way players.

Frankly I don't give much of a shit about faceoffs if you can be at least around average. He's abysmal overall so far, but improving.

I'm REALLY stoked to see Wagner as a pro.

Edit: man, that sounds gruesome. From the Pats' article:

"Wagner, a fourth-round pick in the 2015 NHL draft, was expected to miss about six months after he underwent surgery on June 7 to repair a torn labrum and dislocated bicep tendon. That timeline has proven to be accurate."

And yet toughed it out and had a career year and dominated in the playoffs.... he might be a good one..

I'm impressed he did as well as he did despite needing those surgeries.

Those wheels from Wagner, just incredible. I just keep talking about it. Perhaps because he is doing it with a 6'2'' frame. He plays physical as well.

Should be a surefire NHL'er, anywhere from 4th to 2nd line but probably will be struggling in the AHL in the beginning. Like most and like all of his former teammates from last season.

Face off stats for Centers

Jokinen 56.5 %
Kopitar 54.5%
Amadio 53.8%
Dowd 51.9%
Shore 50.5%
Kempe 36.9%
Any chance on how many faceoffs these stats are basing there percentages off of?I know Amadio hasn't taken more faceoffs than anyone listed for example.

Tough luck for Dowd, he had some good shifts with his line during this winning streak. I don’t know if Shore is gonna hold on to his spot between 70/73, so maybe he gets a new chance soon. If Dowd could improve at faceoffs and the PK, there’s no reason to play Shore over him.

Let’s see what Mitchell brings, hopefully he can play like Trevor Lewis a little bit and hunt the puck for that 4th line.

Hell no, I want Patioready to be far away from this team.
Why? I swear some posters on this board couldn't find a good pie even if it hit them in the face.

I get that Pacioretty would have too high a price or wouldn't fit a need on this team. I would probably target Plekanec on the Habs instead, but if the Kings have a chance to get a top player like Pacioretty, you have to think about it.

He's not worth what we he likely costs imo

He's been stinking it up on my fantasy team. Not even a single point in the 10 goal blowout.

Not only that, think of then ELC talent and picks we'd beed to give up to get him... right now its about health for the Kings, once Carter returns we'll be that much better...
For sure, next season i can see Amadio, Vilardi, LaDue, Clague, and maybe Kubalik(if he signs) either making the Kings of getting a cup of coffee... This team is on the way up again, why mess with it???
2017-18
Iafallo - Kopitar - Brown
Pearson - Carter - Toffoli
Gaborik - Kempe - Lewis
Mitchell - Shore - Jokinen
2018-19
Iafallo - Kopitar - Brown(unless Moved)
Pearson - Carter - Toffoli
Kempe - Vilardi(health permitting) - Gaborik(See Brown)
Lewis - Shore/Amadio - Brodzinski

this team will have much better depth moving forward if they just stay the course and as I've stated, Kopitar will age like Jumbo Joe because his game isn't reliant on speed...

Kempe and Vilardi ( as long as he is going to recover and play hockey again, what a back sprain , holy ).

No chance LA moves young pieces on ELC for a guy who cannot be part of the long term plan. We need to build our young talent and mix in ELC with our expensive vets. Just not good partners.
