I found an interesting statistic on the main board, I feel like the general concensus on this forum is that Matthews is a tier ahead of Laine, but when you look at their production so far it's essentially even. Laine is 8 months younger than Matthews and based on my opinion had the better draft year. Why is one player considered better than the other? Seems like these two players are equal right now, and long term I think Laine actually has the superior tools and will be the better player.

AM34 58g/101pts in 114 games
Laine 54g/99pts in 115 games

I like Laine more than Matthews but I feel that Matthews is more well-rounded of a player.

Regardless, both will be stars, no question about it.

Laine fits better offensely and he's a terrific goal scorer with beautiful hair. But Mathews is a great all-round player I would say they're about equal with eachother and they're fantastic

LeBrun said it's more about sending a message across the team than actually trading Seabrook.

Guess the Hawks got the memo tonight.

EDIT: Also I don't think Bowman will trade Seabrook when his value is this low, he does not strike me as a jittery reactionary GM.

Would anyone actually trade for Seabrook though? He's basically a #4/5 now and he makes $6.87 million for the next 7 seasons.
