No, haven't given any thought to possible line combinations for this exhibition, haven't really given this pre-season exhibition any though at all except for how stupid it is...

Why is everyone putting Eichel on the wing? He's the strongest player on the team, which is huge in defending guys like Malkin and Crosby, and has been dominant on faceoffs. If anything, you slide McDavid on to his wing.

And all due respect to the Monahans and MacKinnons of the world, Eichel and McDavid are the two best players on this team already, they aren't getting pushed down the lineup for lesser talents.

uhm, disagree. Or at least that remains to be seen. In 10 months, McDavid I think could absolutely make the best canadian team. A lot of things may happen between now and July. He may tear it up at the world championships. Or what if he's so good that the Oilers make the playoffs? You never know. I agree with MacKinnon though. A couple of months, even weeks ago I doubted his -fantasy- chances, but now I think he could somehow possibly make the roster.

Hockey Canada likes MacKnnon, he can play RW, he brings more speed than any other Canadian forward and he is having a good year thus far. He would be very likely to make the team.

The players for Team North America will be selected from a pool of the best young hockey players from Canada and the United States. Those players must be 23 or under as of Oct. 1, 2016 (i.e., must have a date of birth on or after Oct. 2, 1992) and will be available for selection exclusively by Team North America.
