I guess Edler should have a stellar chance but we are jacked at D so not many is clearcut one year in advance. They will have to perform this season, and i guess OEL, Kronwall and Karlsson are the only shoeins at this point. Hedman should be though and perhaps this appearence in the cup final will move him safely in.

Ehhh whatever... I guess we have about five shoe-ins allready, with Edler being one of them.

Perhaps...

Landeskog - Bäckström - Forsberg
D.Sedin - H.Sedin - Hornqvist
Steen - Zetterberg - Nyquist
Hagelin - Kruger - Silfverberg
E.Lindholm
(Scracth: Zibanejad/Backlund)

Hedman - Karlsson
OEL - Kronwall
Hjalmarsson - Stralman
H.Lindholm
(Scracth: Klingberg)

Lundqivst
Läck
Enroth/Markström

Yes it is an insanely stacked D, if we ever can get them on ice that is. Name as Ekholm, Strålman, Klefbom, Brodin and Lindholm are sure good enough to be mentioned.

Ekholm is a guy I think could easily turn into a 40+ point two-way defenceman next season. That's likely not enough to make the team. Let's trade for some forwards.

Hedman - Strålman
Hjalmarsson - Karlsson
OEL -

Those five are locks IMO. I would probably put in Kronwall as 6th defenseman due to experience and leadership. But Edler, Brodin etc etc should be given a look as well.

That's pretty good. I'd consider taking Krüger over Lander and I've been so impressed by H. Lindholm that it would feel strange not to bring him, but those dman spots are so highly contested.

Main weakness will be goalie depth, for sure. Let's hope Lundqvist can stay healthy.

I almost forgot Söderberg and Berglund (who always does well on the NT), but I think Krüger is a better fit. There's also E. Lindholm who has the potential to break through and steal a spot.

Lander was a homer choice since I am an EDM supporter... I already left out Klefbom, so I had to put him in there :).

Forgot Berglund to be honest... Kruger was the closest for me, and would have taken Hagelin's place if it was not for Hagelin's speed which may be needed. Soderberg is great, but I don't think he is a fit for 4C, and higher up in the lineup there is no room.

Forwards: Horqvist, F.Forsberg, Landeskog, Zetterberg, Nyquist, Steen, H.Sedin, D.Sedin, Backstrom, Eriksson, two of Hagelin/Silfverberg/Lindholm/Zibanejad and two of Kruger/Stalberg/Berglund/Franzen.

Duuuude. Wayyyyy too many good options to pick Oduya. Nope.

Sadly, I bet Marts will have his strange calls once again. I fully expect one between of J. Ericsson, S. Kronwall or Talinder type of player playing for Sweden for the WC in Toronto:shakehead.
EK, OEL, Hedman, Hjalmarsson, N. Kronwall are locks for me.
Stralman, Brodin, Lidholm, Edler, Klingberg must be the main contenders for the remaining 3 spots

MÃ¥rts won't coach this team. But yeah, pretty sure we will see guys like Jonathan Ericsson & Oduya make the team....

Klingberg won't make my team as long as we have Hedman, OEL & Karlsson available. Maybe as the 7th D. I'd go with something like this:

Hjalmarsson - Karlsson
OEL - Brodin/Lindholm
Hedman - Strålman
Kronwall/Edler

Kronwall is going to make the top 3 pairings at the expense of a player that fits in better. He does bring experience that could be useful for this team though.

Landeskog - Bäckström - Zetterberg
D.Sedin - H.Sedin - Hornqvist
Steen - Berglund - Forsberg
Hagelin - Soderberg - Silfverberg

E.Lindholm

OEL - Karlsson
Hedman - Kronwall
Hjalmarsson - Stralman
Enström

Wanna have a bargain? Draft and develop a Swedish D. Those cap hits are very very very loyal almost throughout.

Yeah, between 4.0 and 5 million you might find quite a few priceworthy players.

Some team selection principles/questions:

- Since we have a few stars on the older side (Sedins, Z-berg) we might not afford to include Franzén, Oduya, Kronwall or even Steen or Eriksson for certain, but must use younger and faster, Landeskog, Backlund, Z-bad, Silfverberg etc.

- Hagelin, Krüger and Nyquist is often included in team selections. This makes us a bit lightweight. Heavier players on small ice gain when international play.

- I would like for us to have hard forechecking and imagine Landeskog would be perfect for such a role.

- Defense need a few physical stay at home guys. Hjalmarsson is fine in that regard. That's it. Hedman is to good to concentrate on that and Ericsson might ahve seen better days, as Oduya. There must be better options than Grossmann and Klefbom. Edler might do well with Karlsson and Hjalmarsson might switch to the right to play with Ekman-Larsson. Lindholm?

- This is the best team Sweden put on ice. But where are the role players?

- A centre line with Bäckström, Söderberg and Berglund is a weapon with their size. Think 97-100 kg! Does this allow us to use lighter skaters on the wings?

- Will Forsberg pan out or disappear when the tempo gets higher? What do we have in our country that will raise the level when the going gets tough or fast? Jesper Fast, Carl Klingberg? Pääjärvi?

- Please, God, look to Henrik Lundqvist day and night. Can SOMEONE turn out to be a legit first goalie anytime soon?

- MÃ¥rts have perfected his model over the years but will he stay cool in such a tournament?

- ALFREDSSON should be on this team in a significant role.

- I am not jumping up and down thinking of our potential right wingers: Nyquist, Eriksson, Forsberg, Zibanejad.

Im thinking maybe an actual centerline, both Söderberg and Berglund can play wing :D

Söderberg - Bäckström - Berglund
Nyquist - Zetterberg - Silvferberg
Sedin - Sedin - Forsberg
Steen - Backlund - Hörnqvist
Zibanejad

Seriously, Carl Klingberg? Nope. Silvferberg and Forsberg will be good as RWs. Forsberg has always performed in tight games.
