I agree. The response just made me chuckle. Nyqvist seems like a more logical choice to replace Rakell, across the board.
 
They sure must hate Nyquist, I feel sorry for the guy. I would also choose Zibanejad or Johansson before Berglund. But Berglund is usually decent when he plays for Sweden. Could've been worse imo.

I feel like Berglund won't make much of a difference, he won't be horrible and he won't be amazing. He will kind of just be there, possibly scoring a goal or two. Nyquist feels more like a player that can step up and score a goal on his own if the rest of the team is struggling. If I remember correctly Nyquist was just centimeters from scoring the first goal in the 2014 olympic final? Nyquist would add someting extra to the team while Berglund is just a solid piece that won't matter much.

Quite tired of the attitude towards the Swedish team, they will perform, the players buys into the system but it takes time to perfect it. As for Finland it is always so much fun to play against you. But to be honest it takes less time to perfect "we skate as fast as we can and see what happens" tactic than a possestion tactic.

thats a myth... Finland has actually more puck control tactic than sweden now a days.
 
If that's the replacement they're gonna pick they might aswell keep on playing Ekholm at F

Finland was missing many players such as filppula, m. koivu etc etc
 
Grönborg strikes again. Patrik Berglund has not played well for sweden last few times. A big joke.

nyqvist, marcus johansson, viktor rask, elias lindholm, zibanejad, nylander.

that's 6 players that are better then berglund.
 
Berglund is just a big body these days, won't do much good or bad. Could have just picked a useful player instead.
 
Berglund is a good player. He is big, quite physical and got some skills. Have played well for Team Sweden everytime.

But Rakell is indeed a huge loss.

I thought the new management had insight how our NHL swedes are doing. I guess not.

Berglund is a good player. He is big, physical and got some skills. Have played well for Team Sweden everytime.

These player decisions are ridiculous. Grönborg must have a personal problem with Nyquist because the guy deserves to be on this roster. He's answered the call unlike many other with "injuries" and he's delivered 11 goals in his last 18 games for Team Sweden. Berglund brings nothing.
 
Remember the olympic final when H. Sedin, Z and Bäckström were all out and we had to play Berglund as our 1st center. No wonder we were helpless on the ice.

I could live with this. I have not against kruger so I wouldn't mind seeing Berglund on the bench either
