Can´t see any of the videos recently posted here because of regional rights etc. Just saying.
 
It has had for a few years actually from what I remember, but I didn´t think that they would do this even for the youtube-channel.

As far as I remember, people from NA could watch all those links from KHL site pretty ok. I posted a lot of them in previous years and don't remember a single complaint. The whole point of the site is to promote the league all over the world.
 
Well, I'm in Sweden and it has been like that. Even though they show KHL a season now and then (they broadcasted it last season but not this upcoming) they still have these regional stuff online towards us at least, dont know about finland and the czechs but...
edit: And there are sometimes when I see people replying on their uploaded videos to their FB-page "shame I/we can´t watch it from *some country*". And that is indeed strange since the FB-page is in english and pure marketing for outsiders but won´t allow some of us to see for some reason. Even the biggest ice hockey related online news page here has to show GIFs when they want to show a great goal from KHL, unless in some rare cases when they can show youtube-clips, but then it is something really viral :/ its strange really.

I mean... WOW! Watching SKA vs AK Bars Kazan right now and I've read seen some from SKA earlier this season as well and well, Datsyuk-Kovalchuk is a LEGENDARY duo! Kovalchuk reborn, they work so well right now.

And on top of all, Znarok is the coach for SKA! It will feel strange having Znarok leave with Datsyuk, Dadonov etc. for World Cup in the middle of everything and not taking with them the hottest player, nevertheless a player who would actually fit into a great line!

Get Kovalchuk in, just make it happen! :cry:
 
I've got a feeling Ovechkin is going to have a huge tournament.

Why Namestnikov??? Just get rid of Telegin!
 
Are any Russia fans mad about Radulov not being on the team? Or do you not think he would really help.

Though I don't like Montreal guys together I'm sure they will be.

I'm not sold on Panarin-Shipachev-Dadonov line. I think they're gonna be defensive disaster. Btw, Panarin-Anisimov-Kane line scored 41 goals last season but allowed 36(!). It's a LOT.

I have a strong feeling that Kovalchuk is gonna replace someone. But if not I can see something like this:

Ovechkin-Kuznetsov-Kucherov
Datsyuk-Malkin-Tarasenko
Panarin-Shipachev-Dadonov
Kulemin-Anisimov-Telegin
Namestnikov

Though I would really like to see Panarin-Kuznetsov-Tarasenko together I think they're gonna be defensive disaster too. So if Radulov and Kovy could replace Shipachev and Dadonov i would go with these lines:
Ovechkin-Kuznetsov-Kucherov (first two played some time together and Kuch can both clear their mess and make a great feed/score some goals)
Kovalchuk-Datsyuk-Radulov (they played together already and I just like the idea of them in one line)
Panarin-Anisimov-Tarasenko (Anisimov with the same role as in Chicago and Panarin would have bigger playmaking role; Tarasenko's playmaking abilities are underrated in NHL though)
Kulemin-Malkin-Namestnikov (I can hear already "Geno in a 4th line? Are you crazy?!" but it makes sense. His whole career Geno was in his best when he played with hard-working wingers, when he carries the line in which he's the only star. Namestnikov is really underrated and he would fit with Geno perfectly. Kulemin has already played with Geno in KHL and a couple WCs. They also would clean Geno's mistakes)
Telegin (13th forward. Good for energy line if Znarok would like to make one)
Namestnikov and Radulov could be swapped, that would make sense too.

But it's all fantasies, no way Znarok splits Shipachev line let alone replace them for Kovy and Radu.

Yea, maybe. Not sure if you've seen my old thread about Ovechkins stats in the national team covering to include Sochi, if not - have a look here(I tried to update it after this last World Championship but the admins kept removing my post because the topic obviously is too old or something).
Anyway, a quick summary to that: He has been garbage, taking up too much time from the others stars on the ice and when he scores points - its mostly against rubbish teams.

However, that doesn´t mean he won´t succeed in the upcoming WC, in fact I think he just might... with both Kovalchuk and Radulov out of the way with the help of his old friend Znarok as the headcoach, Russia is building up a Washington Capitals for him where he can more or less be the only star on the team - but seeing Ovechkin doing great doesn´t mean the team will, just like Washington.
I personally think Ovechkin has done his time in the national team, I've never really enjoyed his style since after 2007 sometime when he changed his russian playstyle for the shooting-freak he became in NHL (which has obviously been great for himself). In 2008 he was really enjoyable with caps teammates of Semin and Fedorov, but other than that, naah.
So well, I believe that he would be a great player to have in a 3rd line and in power plays (but not relying on him in PP's and focusing them entirely on seting him up), but I don´t believe his ego would allow him to accept such a role and that is why I think he is done.
Ovechkin won´t change, he has showed that over the years and with Znarok as his servant he will gain even more space.

I'm not really a fan of using a player for these tournaments that have never played for the national team before, Telegin made a very good impression to be fair in the team just recently so for this particular tournament I would pick the latter. Also Telegins season has already started and he is more "ready", that's a plus we have with players from KHL.

He can´t replace anyone without that player being injured, but maybe now since he is coach of SKA and Kovy is playing godlike under his command, together with Datsyuk (which would be a line that could replace/be formed) he would actually consider it if someone was to start stumbling ;)

Everybody sane is mad at the coach scratching Kovalchuk and Radulov for however big mistakes and reasons and personal quarrels and presenting us with glorious NT 5th liners.

Znarok is an idiot. Radulov shouldn't be mad with idiots
 
Kovy scored 6 points against Salavat and 3 against Ak Bars...not bad competition. Plotnikov is the third member of the line, hope he bounces back after a rough year in North America.
