It may be a gimmick but I'm more excited to watch this team than any other one and that includes Canada.

I'm salivating over what Gaudreau is going to like with superstars on the same line (no offense to Monahan).

This team will be fun to watch but the tournament itself is really odd if not a farce of a concept.

Damn, that's a speed demon line if I ever saw one. That would be really difficult to deal with.

I love that 4th line all good defensive players, have a sniper in Shiefs, and would have Couts take the faceoffs he's unreal, and Mathews play the setup man and he has a nice shot too.
 
I really hope that Mackinnon and drouin play together, Get the mooseheads connection

Monahan is out, per the Flames site:

"Sean Monahan has sustained a back strain during his pre-season training, and as a result will not be able to participate in the upcoming World Cup of Hockey with Team North America,” Flames general manager Brad Treliving said. “We anticipate that this is not a long term issue and plan on having Sean healthy and ready for the start of our training camp."
 


I'm pretty surprised it isn't Galchenyuk, a similarly experienced center who is solid on the dot. But Trocheck was very solid for the Panthers this season and in the playoffs.

Wow, still no Galy. He should have made the team over Miller and Matthews, at the very least. Who's running this team - honest question?
 
Lame how all these hockey players are wussing out of the tournament. Back strain? It's have to be broken for me to skip the tourney.
 
Hoping for Connor Mcdavid, Aaron Ekblad and Nathan Mackinnon to stub their toes as well.

Our top upcoming stars should never suite up against the red and white.
