Jagr is a beast.Jagr's not interrested?
I think he will play cuz Czech team really need a high-caliber player in roster.

Jakub Kindl waived by Detroit... I'm afraid the blueline will be pathetic. For some reason both at the senior and junior level it lacks high-end talent, unlike the forwards (Voracek, Krejci, Zacha, Pastrnak etc.)
I hope that not only NHLers are allowed to participate in this tournament?
I have to say, as the years go by the strength of our national team seems to get worse and worse and worse.
I think we may have to wait for the 96-98 generations to grow up before we start competing at a good enough level to win anything. I think we may end up having to put some younger guys in defence out of sheer desperation....
Even those forwards look less and less appealing.
Jiri Hudler - David Krejci - Jakub Voracek
Jan Kovar - Tomas Plekanec - Jaromir Jagr
Ondrej Palat - Martin Hanzal - David Pastrnak
Tomas Hertl - Vladimir Sobotka - Michael Frolik
Tomas Fleischmann / Radim Vrbata / Patrik Elias
Zbynek Michalek - Radko Gudas
Roman Polak - Jakub Nakladal
Andrej Sustr - Marek Zidlicky
Jakub Kindl / Michal Kempny / Tomas Kundratek
Petr Mrazek
Michal Neuvirth
Alexander Salak
Ok I hope so. I think Kindl could've had a chance to make it because there are way more right- than left shooters. It seems defense program wes improved, so in the future our D situation could get (finally) better. But for now, our D is awful, actually beyond awful... That being said, I don't think Kindl had/has any high chances of making the team anyway. We should be allowed to take players from Europe and there's a handful of those who are better. (Kempny, Kundratek, Nemec plus some more probably, not so hard to be better than Kindl) I also think Mozik could get some recognition, he is doing pretty good in AHL's Albany Devils.
Actually I don't dislike the forwards. I just think tournament comes one year too late. Voracek, Hudler, Palat and Vrbata all had career years last season, Plekanec, Frolik and Pastrnak were doing great too.Even those forwards look less and less appealing.
Hudler-Plekanec-Jagr
Jan Kovar - Tomas Plekanec - Jaromir Jagr
What about smid these days? Can we put him on defence instead of one of our less experience guys?
Looking at the roster and comparing it to other teams... I think we'll be glad if we don't finish last.
That defense is gonna be painful to watch. Our only chance would be some Mrazek magic..
It's gonna take a looong time before we start being competitive on best on best tournaments again.
What happened to Smid anyway? He was top 10 player in his draft class and now he can't even crack the NHL roster... I would rather give the chance to someone like Mozik, who is perspective and still has time to become a NHL regular. (I know, he didn't even taste NHL yet, but I hope sooner or later he is called up)
Considering Mrazek's numbers are definitely not a product by Detroit defense, I hope he can keep his standard play and be our MVP of the tournament. He is the player who should keep all games close. Mrazek will be like 29 when our promising 96, 97 or 98 generations grow up to prime age. Mrazek + Pastrnak + Vrana etc... sounds promising![]()
Though we will have to survive the next upcoming years where we will be second-grade team before that happens.
Long story short, we are missing quality 25-28 years old players, which is a problem considering that's a prime age and every other team has loads of those players.

Any chance Zacha gets a look?
I doubt it. Guys from Europe will go first (Filippi, Vincour, Pribyl).
By the way I think Dominik Simon should get a serious consideration. He was one of our top players in WHC.
I really think that in this type of tourney, you're gonna see Faksa centering the 4th line.
Wouldn't be too bad actually...
So Josef Jandac will be coaching this team.. what's your opinion guys?
I was personally pretty high on him as a future coach of the national team few years back.. he has pretty good results but he has never had any bigger success in the play-offs and that concerns me a lot. Let's see, I guess..
