I don't like our guys from KHL. Salák and Kovář are good in their leagues but they can't be compared to NHL goalies.. Neuvirth, Mrázek, Pavelec > great group

While he certainly is a well respected person and was successful in the past I would prefer someone younger with conception towards 2018. Oh well, it is not the worst option and hopefully he will get only one year contract to prove himself.

Yeah, I'll wait and see who he invites and how we end up playing under him. I have to say, I am definitely excited to see someone other than Ruza and Had for once! If Vujtek brings in some of our younger generation of coaches as assistants then it will be good as they can take over once he's done.

EDIT: Plus it may mean we won't be seeing Klepis, Cervenka and Vondrka quite so often

Oh don't worry, I'm pretty sure there will be some kind of other group of players regularly getting invited that we will not be able to stand after some time

I like it. They probably wouldn't be that strong, but the young ones would gain useful experience. And who knows, maybe someone from farm/europe shines this year.
PS: Nakladal could be also considered.

Gudas and Sustr together is not very good idea IMO. Everything else is quite alright.

I would say no to Hejda, he's too old and slow. Also, I'm not sure he'd come (I think the 2015 WC was his last international tournament-someone correct me if I'm wrong ).

Zidlicky still plays but he's getting on too. I would really like to see Zboril make the team. I would pick Neuwirth instead of Salak. Salak is awful (imo).

Faksa won't compete for a spot imo. Vrana might, same with Zacha. I would say only Pastrnak and perhaps Zboril (owing to the lack of offensive D-men) make the team. I can't see Fleishmann being there. Not sure about Michalek either. Kovar will probably be there.

I agree that Fleischmann probably won't make it unless he shines this year on some bottom 6 position that would fit to national team. Hemsky is on the big edge imo....

The biggest issue are offensive Ds. Am I corretct that only offensive ones from the list are Kindl, Zidlicky and maybe Jordan? That opens spot for Krejcik, Zamorsky, Nakladal (if he makes CAlgary).First two will be thrashed in their own zone imo. It woul be great if Mozik makes New Jersey. Otherwise he is also done imo....

I dont know how you guys think Zboril would make a team.He would have to play 60 matches for Boston, otherwise I dont see it realistic.

The young core basically depends on new coach attitude. I can see the possibility that he grabs somebody to russia WHC and based on their performance he would hypothetically pick them...

Vrana was not even called to EHT matches from Sweden last year. Zacha never played for A team either. Taking guys with no experience on int level straight to the big tourney is definetely not a favourite practice in czech. But new coach might be more open considering that he chose some interesting players (for me) to slovak team...

Salak wont make it imo. There wil be no timeto test again whether KHL goalie can survive in top notch competition...Maybe Francouz. Realistic trio is Pavelec, Neuwirth, Mrazek, if they dont fight with each other....

Was it even draw? Then it was the luckiest draw ever for NA teams and for profit of NHL. same with Pastrnak on pressconference. I doubt they discussed representatives with czech association (still hope I am wrong here). Nothing against him, I wish him to make a team but Iwould find tons of czech players who should be our representatives in group of likes Malkin, Stamkos etc. Krejci, Plekanec, Voracek, Palat??? For me the message is - in case you forget who we want to see... Ok I am maybe too biased...

I'd say you're wrong because Toronto is the most "proamerican" city in Canada. Hell, it even looks like it was built by the Yanks.
