I don't like our guys from KHL. Salák and Kovář are good in their leagues but they can't be compared to NHL goalies.. Neuvirth, Mrázek, Pavelec > great group
So Vůjtek it is (probably). I have to say that I am not thrilled. While he certainly is a well respected person and was successful in the past I would prefer someone younger with conception towards 2018. Oh well, it is not the worst option and hopefully he will get only one year contract to prove himself.
Yeah, I'll wait and see who he invites and how we end up playing under him. I have to say, I am definitely excited to see someone other than Ruza and Had for once! If Vujtek brings in some of our younger generation of coaches as assistants then it will be good as they can take over once he's done.
EDIT: Plus it may mean we won't be seeing Klepis, Cervenka and Vondrka quite so often![]()
2022 Olympics fantasy lineup (if NHLers are admitted)
Why 2022? Just for fun. Will the roster look anything similar to this? At 99.9% not, but it's still fun doing this.

I like it. They probably wouldn't be that strong, but the young ones would gain useful experience. And who knows, maybe someone from farm/europe shines this year.I vote for young team

I have no space for KovarTo defense we can use Kempny, Roth, Krejcik, Kundratek or Polasek. I hope some of them make a huge progress

The forward group is okay, but that defense and goaltending are pretty bad.
Here is my projected Team Czech Republic roster. The Czechs have an aging core so if players were comparable I tended to pick the younger ones. Let me know what you think or if I missed anyone...

I am much more familiar with the NHL players so I have few players on here that play in European leagues. My biggest trouble spots were on defense (has Zidlicky retired..?) and the goalies (what about Neuvirth?). I also was wondering how far away Czech fans think Vrana, Zacha and Faksa are from competing for spots.
Pavelec #1 ? Good luck. I would even have Mrazek ahead of him.
What a joke, everyone will be cheering against us in all three games. Couldn't be worse if you ask me.
It doesn't really matter what the exact squad is as we've been drawn into a group with USA and Canada. Unless someone like Mrazek stands on his head and either team have a bad day, we're not going to finish higher than 3rd![]()
On the stadium people could cheer for us in match against USA. Simply because Canadians would love to see USA lose. But in the rest, not a chance.
