Jordan Shredder made the team... A slight surprise since he was in AHL most of the year and had a quite dismal season overall.

There should be at least 200 US players ahead of Shredder. He is not even in AHL top30.

What a over reaction. This team is not bad. Not the best but still decent team. Lot of talented young players and some decent NHLers. Condon is also better what people say here. Matthews Larkin duo will be huge in this tournament and maybe Demko is this year Hellebuyck. But like i said Condon is decent goalie.

Certainly not even close to a best on best roster but it's pretty par for the course for U.S. teams at this event. Probably a touch worse than usual. Not really sure how they will fare but I would think relegation is unlikely.....

Noah Hanifin and Connor Murphy aren't AHL defensemen and Brady Skjei looked good for the Rangers. Sure, the rest aren't top-end NHLers, but the rest being "AHL" is a stretch.

Not sure how big rink and new teammates is different than past World Championships.

Oversized Dmen, lots of players 1st time in the big rink, short time to prepare, some players coming to a holiday/beer trip and stay up late... High chance of clueless coaching, like every year for US.

Most teams employ full time national coaches when US pulls an afterseason NHL coach for a 2 week stint.

John Hynes is a good NHL coach. Do you know who else was an adequate NHL coach? Scott Gordon. Gordon also had a far better team at the worlds.

A. Maybe half a dozen people would be disappointed
B. The chance we get relegated is smaller than the chance Russia gets relegated. We have Hungary in our division if you've forgotten.
