Probably more so about the injury he missed 3 weeks for. Probably wasn't compkletely 100% when he came back but he pushed himself to get back. He'll probably get cleared though. Would be a big addition for Czech Republic. He can steal games

Almost all players who were eliminated from the NHL playoffs have refused or are injured.

Gudas - injury (wrist). Voráček - had a leg injury, looked bad at the end of season and in the play-offs because of that. Still doesn't feel good. Hudler is UFA.

2 exceptions:
Neuvirth looks like he wants to go but he has to clear medical test in Philly.

And also... there is some possibility that Jágr could go. Yeah, you hear that correctly. That would be ridiculous situation... Just think about it: 44 years old Jágr after 85 games in the NHL will show up on Worlds but our younger players will rather take a rest. But it is still only speculation. Nothing confirmed about Jágr.

We'll have to beat Latvia and Norway. We had troubles beating these teams in recent years when we had better players than now. Even Denmark can be tricky. I don't really count Switzerland as a team that we are supposed to defeat any more, we always have a very hard time with them. Not sure at all we're gonna advance to the playoffs, even less so in a comfortable manner.

Pastrňák and Plekanec together will be fun to watch. Look forward to seeing them play if they play on the same line together.

Yes, everything can happen but there is still a lot more quality on our roster compared to Latvia or Norway. They can beat us, they are not real underdogs anymore, but if our team finds chemistry then we should comfortably beat them (even 3-2 may be comfortable victory), if we don't, then yes, we have a problem. You are way too pessimistic. Vujtek is a good coach, and I believe that this group will play a good hockey under him.

Probably the only team that will be really weak this year is Hungary.

I don't think they played that bad. Until that 2:4 goal it was okay. Since then we collapsed... also, that PP/PK?!? Wtf is that ****. Even the worst teams have better special teams than us. Why can't we ever have a solid PK? That's the coach task though, they have to set up good PP/PK. Swedes scored like 4 PP goals and at least 3 of them were just basic slapshots from blueline. Defensemen need to be much more agressive. Plus Furch was very shaky today, didn't make any real steal save, unlike Fasth.

Overall, despite all the flaws I pointed out, I still think the result is very cruel. Should have been much closer.
Hopefully Francouz plays the next game.

They outplayed us badly from the ~mid 2nd period. The whole team is to blame, they didn't show up, and couldn't skate with Swedish players. Special teams are terrible, yes. Nobody in front of the net.

I was thinking during our game against Denmark that from Slovakia only Reway, Bakos, Dano, Cehlarik, Meszaros and Sekera are WC worthy and we should deliver them to czech team and try it as Cechoslovakia

Let's make it happen! We'll still suck but at least we will suck together! NHL at least could allow us to participate as Czechoslovakia in World Cup when they already have ridiculous teams there.
