Yeah, anyone have any idea on the goalie situation. I'd like to know if Pickard is supposed to start any games or what.
Switched half way through.

Can anyone who saw the entire game give me a review? I was at work all day.
Posts in the moment aren't always reflective of a reasoned analysis of the game as a whole. Sounds like McDavid was dominant as expected.
McDavid's line was dominant for sure.
Overall the play was pretty sloppy and the PP wasn't working.
Hall didn't have a great game. A few turnovers, penalty, etc..
The goalies were very solid, especially Talbot. I seem to recall only one dangerous rebound but he saw everything for his half of the game.
The thing I noticed is that the D were really going for outlet/stretch passes a lot. Coaches are trying to take advantage of the teams speed.

OH MAN, I totally forgot they wouldn't wear these jersey's this year.
Aw that stinks, these were one of the greatest designs ever.
These should be our Olympic jersey's in 2018.
Still holding out hope for 2 additions. NYI and Dallas losing...Tavares + K Russell would be huge. UGEEEEEEE additions. I think Hall would be a lot more effective with Tavares than with the Mcgifted one. Hall Tavares Perry. Duchene McDavid Gallagher Marchand ROR Stone. that's pretty good top nine right there.
You're in for some disappointment I'm afraid.
I am glad that I witnessed McDavid and his 1st career goal in senior team. What a beauty. This team has again potential to steamroll competition. Domi-McDavid-Duchene have dominated this game.
It will be interesting to see how the line combinations shake out. I'm not sold on Duchene as McDavid's RW. Hope they shuffle things and make Duchene the number two centre, put Brassard at number four and Scheifele on the wing.
Who's up for some TimBits?

I can only imagine the "ah ****, there's going to be pictures of this" feeling that ROR felt when he was handed the mini-keg.![]()
for somebody who asked yesterday and those who like to play fantasy GM. (there are many)
the AAV for this current edition of Team Canada is 77.161 million. A little above a Capped NHL team...and a far cry away from the 200 million+ Team Canada Olympic edition.
For those RFAs (I believe 2 players) I used this current year's AAV
for everybody else next year's AAV.
i.e. Cam Talbot contract next year has 4.150 AAV.
Russia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
You do not know?.
I have been in many countries but so beautiful like Russia, I have not seen
do you ever find it funny how Hockey Canada works so hard to sell the country on the best way to build the team for the World Juniors, the age trumps talent mantra...and yet completely throws that playbook out the window when it comes to this tournament. Understandable to a point, there's only so much HC can do for this one...but still, I shake my head and laugh at the Hockey Canada double standard. I like the young players approach, but this is pushing it imo. Hope for the best. maybe we'll get a welcomed surprise at the conclusion of the 2nd rd and get some experience coming over. I won't hold my breath though.
Because to Hockey Canada the WJC is more important than the WC.
1.Olympics/World Cup
2.WJC
3.WC (develop players for Olympics/World Cup)
4.U-18 WC/Hlinka (develop players for WJC)
It's still Russia....
If Peters is committed to that trio (McDavid-Duchene-Marchand) he'd be better off trying Marchand at RW, probably. The fact is McDavid needs a really strong skater to keep pace and ride shotgun with him, and Hall or Duchene best fit the bill. Personally I'd give the following lineup a shot at the next exhibition game:
Hall - McDavid - Perry
Marchand - Duchene - Gallagher
Jenner - O'Reilly - Stone
Domi - Brassard - Schiefele
