If EStaal reaches 1000 points the '06 team will have had 5 1,000 point scorers in the roster. I believe only the Oilers dynasty teams and the '02 Red Wings had more.

Huh. This is a fun topic. Is there any way to figure this out without manually going through teams?

84 Oilers: Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Anderson, Coffey
85 Oilers: Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Anderson, Coffey
87 Oilers: Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Anderson, Coffey
88 Oilers: Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Anderson

97 Wings: Shanahan, Fedorov, Yzerman, Lidstrom, Murphy
98 Wings: Shanahan, Fedorov, Yzerman, Lidstrom, Murphy
02 Wings: Shanahan, Fedorov, Hull, Robitaille, Yzerman, Lidstrom, Datsyuk (*MAYBE* if he comes back)

06 Canes: Brind'Amour, Weight, Recchi, Whitney, Staal (*MAYBE*)

Lidstrom did also reach over 1000.

Tired of Matt Murray hype train. Young goaltender with almost 20 GP is franchise player. Most of the people doesn't make sense.

Ok, so here's your list of teams with most 1000-point scorers:

8
1991 Penguins - Coffey, Francis, Jagr, Lemieux, Mullen, Murphy, Recchi, Trottier
1992 Penguins - Coffey, Francis, Jagr, Lemieux, Mullen, Murphy, Recchi, Trottier

7
none

6
1989 Flames - Fleury, Gilmour, Nieuwendyk, MacInnis, McDonald, Mullen
1994 Penguins - Francis, Jagr, Lemieux, Mullen, Murphy, Trottier
1994 Rangers - Anderson*, Gartner*, Kovalev, Larmer, Leetch, Messier, Zubov
1996 Rangers - Kovalev, Kurri, Leetch, Messier, Robitaille, Verbeek
2000 Red Wings - Fedorov, Lidstrom, Murphy, Shanahan, Verbeek, Yzerman
2001 Red Wings - Fedorov, Lidstrom, Murphy, Shanahan, Verbeek, Yzerman
2002 Red Wings - Fedorov, Hull, Lidstrom, Robitaille, Shanahan, Yzerman
2003 Red Wings - Fedorov, Hull, Lidstrom, Robitaille, Shanahan, Yzerman

* Note - Anderson and Gartner were traded for each other at the TDL, so the team only had 6 of these guys at a given time.

5
1995 Blues
1987 Flames
1988 Flames
1990 Flames
1992 Kings
1993 Kings
1996 Maple Leafs
2004 Maple Leafs
1991 North Stars
1981 Oilers
1982 Oilers
1983 Oilers
1984 Oilers
1985 Oilers
1986 Oilers
1987 Oilers
1993 Penguins
1995 Penguins
1997 Penguins
1992 Rangers
1993 Rangers
1995 Rangers
1997 Rangers
1993 Red Wings
1994 Red Wings
1995 Red Wings
1996 Red Wings
1997 Red Wings
1998 Red Wings
1999 Red Wings
2004 Red Wings
1992 Sabres

Please note: I didn't look any earlier than 1970 because I'm pretty sure no team would qualify. Also, I didn't look for trades (like Anderson/Gartner) in the 5-player category, so that list is probably not perfect.

At this point, I'm rooting for the blues to win it all, with the sharks a close second. Either way, I'll be happy just as long as the pens don't win.

Order of priority for me: Sharks, Blues, Bolts, Pens

I think I'd rather see the Pens than the Bolts. Tampa is just such a boring team to me, even though they have plenty of good players I just can't get excited about seeing them. I'd rather see Crosby/Malkin take another step in legacy building than try to get excited about watching Kucherov and Hedman.

If this final is Tampa-StL, I'm going to have to actively force myself to watch.

I don't care who comes out of the West, I would have been genuinely happy for either of the final four (including Dallas and Nashville) to win the whole thing.

Tampa I am "meh" on. I'd love for Pittsburgh to win the Cup, if only to vindicate JR's moves that were widely panned.

So just "not Tampa."

I'm in "go West" mode at this point. But I won't have a problem with it if either Eastern team wins either.

San Jose and St Louis just simply have never won it so I'm pulling for that.
