Well Cullen wins another Cup, so there's that.

Won't be much longer when everyone from our 2006 squad won't be playing anymore. Time can be a cruel thing

Who are we down to these days? Staal, Ward, Williams, Ladd, Cullen? A few of those guys should last a couple more years yet. It'll be interesting to see if Cullen sticks around another year. He could, but he could just decide to go out with a Cup instead.

Pretty awesome that Kessel wins a Cup after the way he was treated by some in the media.

Interesting parallels to the 2006 Cup season aside from Cullen:

Same GM. Jason Karmanos along for the ride.

Rookie goalie, #30, steps up, loses job for a game and goes on to get 15 of 16 W's.

A 3-1 final score in the Cup-clinching game.

D's score first 2 goals for the winning team.

First goal by a D not known for goal-scoring prowess.

An empty netter by a forward with about 1 min to go.

Controversy over who was really the most-deserving player for the Conn Smythe.

Yeah, he's the one guy (aside from Cullen) that I'm genuinely happy for.

I'll never agree with Crosby getting the Conn Smythe over him.
