Remember seeing Brad Jones and Brent Thompson play....and then there was Warren Rychel and his son Kerby, now on Lumbus. Even Jeff Chychrun played on the Kings. So 3 of former Kings had sons drafted in the first round today? Crazy not only that they were drafted, but ALL first rounders.

I hate Al Murray with a passion because of his picks while with us but the way he has been drafting for the Lightning the last couple of years , i would have to give praise where its due . He is one of the best at the moment. Tampa Bay and Anaheim are the best scouting and developing teams in the league at the moment.
I hate to say it but i think Anaheim is the best in entire league in drafting. Look at their picks and prospects its ridiculously rich and spread with great talent

I'm guessing the USA U20 team is gonna be pretty good, obviously they won't have Matthews or Tkachuk, but 10 other 1st round picks is really impressive.

I tend to agree but to be somewhat fair to Murray there was NO development system here. I blame that partly on him anyway, and I'm not pretending his drafts are nutty good or anything, but there HAS to be a reason people pretty universally feel that way about him (outside the Kings, haha).
