Carter is one of the few Kings players you can count on every night to put up points and make exciting plays. Trading him would be repeating the long, dreadful history the Kings have of pulling the plug early on super star NHL players.

Nobody is advocating the Kings trade Carter.

I simply mentioned it, as a better way of restocking draft picks, over trading depth players for 3rd/4th round poor picks. Provided the Kings have a poor season, and actually want to go that route.

You would get way more value out of players like Carter/A-Mart.

Making better draft selections would be a start in the right direction in restocking. A number of wasted and questionable selections has hampered the team just as much as their limited number of selections.

So we trade Carter and whose our #2 center? Shore? Lewis? Dowd? Give me a ****ing break

Sure on paper this team isn't 2012-2014 but they are still a playoff team. Makes zero sense to trade any of Carter, Toffoli, or A-Mart this year

Yeah. To restock draft picks, sure, but that means you're blowing up the team... and you can't do that when you have a Norris winner, Selke winner, and Vezina finalist on the same team.

Please sign Vermette as 3rd line center. The guy has solid face off numbers. Then trade King and Clifford. K thanks bye

I hope Pearson is on the top line by the end of the year, and because of other potential LW faltering but because he earns it.

I honestly think Pearson is really going to have a break out year Its time for him to breakout not as good as Toffolli but 20 goal 50 points very possible

I think so too which is why the Kings should be trying as hard as they can to extend him now. Toffoli will get his 6-8 years at $6-6.5 million a season regardless. Get Pearson done now before his value skyrockets.

20g 50p is very plausible for him IMO. The 2014/15 season he was rapidly becoming my favorite king. I hope his injury has not stalled his development.

Ducks just signed him for two years. They owned us last year in the faceoff circle. This season...no competition.

Don't have any expectations this season.

I don't think his injury stalled his development , I think Sutter and DL did . Lucic took the time, space and minutes that Pearson would have had , if the trade never happened.
Most young top 6 forwards need time, and minutes to develop, steady and regular, not being bounced around. He's a good player, he's smart, fast and hustles.
Put him and keep him in the top 6 where he belongs, give him PP time and you'll see the points as he blossoms.

I have issue blaming coach and GM. Cream always rises sort of thing. Yes Lucic took a roster spot but Lucic/Pearson top 6 LW looks and sounded pretty damn good to me.

If that happens, great. Pearson and his agent also know the deal though. They know they have the leverage over the Kings right now. Brown can't score. Gaborik is old. Purcell is Purcell. Why sign now unless you're getting something out of it?

why sign now? Because what happens if Pearson gets injured? Anyone can get a serious injury at anytime that will effect their careers forever.

Don't have any expectations this season.

But we have Nick Shore and Michael Latta-who played less than Mike Richards. And now Trevor Lewis has a movie made about him starring Usher and Robert DeNiro coming out soon.

Or he could have a career season and increase his bargaining power, whether with the Kings or some other team. Potential injuries should make every guy sign as quickly and early as possible, but that's not always the case.

Potentially getting hurt isn't a reason to not sign a player unless they have a chronic injury(usually a knee problem, groin problem, shoulder problem, concussions).

I agree but I was just stating a reason why Pearson maybe willing to sign sooner than later
