Considering Sutter barely played the guy I think the chances are slim unfortunately. But I was fairly impressed with what he brought and wouldn't mind seeing him back.

Apparently Hamhuis is gonna go to free agency. Supposedly he wants to stay close to home out west. I wonder if the Kings are gonna try to sign him. Even if you have to expose him in the expansion draft he'd be a free asset for a year before that if you get him. Would potentially make a nice second pair with Martinez on the right side.

Got to think the Kings would take a look, but what contract do you offer a 33yr old dman that's coming off of two short seasons? Is he good enough to be Mitchell V2?

Can confirm Kings, with limited cap space, are exploring market on top pending UFA forwards, reaching out to camps of Okposo, Ladd, Eriksson

Ladd/Eriksson would fit right in, would be a great signing if the Kings could get either one.

I think Ladd would be a better fit than Lucic and I loved Lucic's game. Sutter being able to use Ladd on the PK would give the Kings another scoring threat short handed.

The PK was also a problem last year, Ladd would help in that area. The PK failed in too many critical moments last season.

Any of the 3 would be fantastic, obviously. But we've seen Dean do nothing but swing and miss on July 1st, admittedly, we should be thankful for some of those (Gomez, B. Richards, Briere and Kovalchuk). Believe it when I see it.

Always loved the way Eriksson plays. I think both him and Ladd would be good fits.

He played 2:55 on the PP and 1:51 on the PK last season, so you have that 2 way player that seemingly would fit into the Kings system. Durable, missed 1 game in the last 2 seasons, 17 points on the PP last season with 10 PP goals. If I had to rank the 3 in terms of who I think would help the Kings all around I think it would be Ladd, Eriksson and Okposo. Ladd and Okposo are more physical, Okposo is younger, I'd be happy with any of the 3.

Would really like Ladd. Build for the Kings, leader, plays all type of minutes. Still hope Lucic drops his demands but doubtful

What really worries me is if the Oilers with all their young stars and picks can't find a defenceman, how will we

We're not in Canada :naughty:

I would prefer Eriksson as Ladd didn't look good (IMO) with Chicago. Just a preference as I think Eriksson is a better playmaker and would be a better fit fit Kopi.

Kings have $6.2 million in cap space, $4.99 million if they sign Dowd, call up Gravel, and call up Budaj. Doubt they can get Eriksson, Ladd, Lucic, or Okposo for under $5 million. Would have to move salary out.

I do think most of us feel there's gonna be SOME movement, even if it's just one piece like King, so I wouldn't be shocked, particularly on a short-term deal
