Laine has been good, Pulju has problems with his puck control apparently. Aho has been so-so. "3rd" line has been great, Hintz had a good idea on that drive to the net, goalie managed to guess right. Kapanen outside that awful open-net miss has been fine, yet again. Juolevi has been quite terrible.

Do you live in Finland still? If you do, you should be well aware that one missed empty net isn't going to get anyone crucified. It's a stupid comparison anyways, because Kapanen isn't named Kapanov or smth like that. Why the quality drop in recent times Jussi?

I've been impressed by Laine's physical play. I thought the comparisons to AO were premature, but he can really hit hard when he wants to. It's a good quality to have in a skilled forward.

Kapanen looks like a prototypical Finnish player. Good at driving possession, but just can't score to save his life. Can't be too dissapointed. He's going to be a good bottom 6 player some day.

Bad calls from the reffs, but Russia needs to know that this would happen for the home team.
Russia dominated the game much more in the 1st than Finland did in the second, they have a lot more talent and I see them taking out the Finland in the 3rd.

We are playing from the defence, when Finns skating in our zone I woudn't say they making very dangerous chanses. Keep it like that but it's just 1:0... any mistake, any ricochet and hit can lead to a goal. Dunno right it or not. But suprised like everyone it's still 1:0

Everyone knows almost every Finn not called "Teemu Selänne" or "Jari Kurri" is shooting puck at the logo or wide most of the time.
This is nothing new, even to average Finn.
Also, casual spectators wouldn't even watch the game if it wouldn't be a medal game. World Juniors aren't that big of a deal for casuals - the idiotic IIHF tournament is.
