Huh? It's a great tournament with really promising talent and some already established world class players. This gold medal game had much higher energy and level than your average mens WC final game.

This tournament has long been more prestigious than mens worlds. It's not about this tournament only.

It is, but as a Finn the public interest in this tournament is a bit of a surprise. I'm not even sure if these games were televised in Finland a few years ago.

Congrats Finland! Absolutely deserved win for you but I wanted Russia to win. It's like the first time in my life when I wanted Russia to win, lol. Weird feeling. I really liked this Russian team especially because of Provorov. And, of course, it was an incredible game! Best of the tourney, hands down.

Unfortunately WJC is not at all a big thing here. I am sure other countries had once again much better ratings. I wonder how we could really become a hockey nation.

Cut the bandwagon crap. There has been an increasing interest for the past years. Only difference is that home tournament, prime time and on free-to-air tv unlike in previous years.

Expect only hardcore fans to watch games 3 am the morning next year.

I remember waking up in at like 3AM to watch it on Eurosport 5-6 years ago. Started picking up a lot of followers since then, and then obviously when Malmö happened, everything changed.

Wow what a tournament, never been so nervous in a hockey game before, so many little mistakes all the time.. But still what a great team, well deserved win. Go Finland!

Russia was great. There can only be one team who wins, but it was so close and it literally might have gone the other way around and the winner would have been just as deserving. Great final game that went to the OT.

You guys can be proud of your team. It was championship material and this time they just fell tad short.
