If missing the playoffs leads to a front office house cleaning then I will take that over a first round thrashing against the Metro winner.

You really think Jacobs would orchestrate such a thing?

Any other old Bruin bums looking to give GM or Prez a go for minimum wage?

They were terrible before Chia, then had a nice run and now they are back to a regular DNQ team.
I don't know what to expect from the Bruins anymore.

Actually we do assuming we win tomorrow night especially in regulation

Outside looking in....again!
The Islanders win and the Bruins are outside the playoff race. No longer in control of their own destiny...unbelievable...and they haven't even played the Islanders yet and even worse, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THEY BEAT THE ISLANDERS, they do not control their destiny!

Tampa beats Wings...Tampa Bay one point only behind Boston! Honestly, you could not make this up!

Timely goaltending and teams go to guys stepping up for big wins.

We need talent in a big way from the net out.

Tampa is a sick organization :handclap:

Agreed, but you get my point. We've gone from a position of relative strength to a situation that will require a lot of scoreboard watching.

TB are 8-4-1 since the trade deadline.

Last night 8 of their 18 skaters have less than 100 NHL games played.

Erne - 18
Dumont - 50
Point - 60
Gourde - 14
McKegg - 58
Vermin - 20
Dotchin - 27
Witkowski - 46

Meanwhile, the Bruins continue to sit, scratch and demote their younger inexperienced guys in order to run their zero-zone veterans.

It's why I was so damn furious about Liles, Quader, Beleskey, Backes, Nash and on down the list. None of it needed to happen because they did such a decent job with a rebuild that they turned into some retool. If they miss this year the retool was a total failure, we can say it without any doubt. Problem is we'll be saddled with the $ and age of the retool and that's just a damn shame.

Other problem is the leadership group of this team is just utter junk. The most anti-clutch this team has been in a long long time. Saving their worst for last is really terrifying. And it's from the net all the way to the dots. All are culpable.

I want to see this team play themselves into the playoffs, but until they can learn to close out the season I'm hoping Tampa takes last wc spot from the Islanders. They are playing some determined hockey, and are down so many players its hard not to appreciate what they are doing. I'm also a bit biased would love some Playoff hockey down here.
