These Pens announcers...
Have to go to mute when they are on. So very hard to listen to. Just listen in and you will never complain about Jack again.

Another complete debacle with reviews in this one. The playoffs will be a nightmare for coaches, players, fans and in some ways the officals. Never hear a peep as to how officals must feel to be in such an insufferable no win position with this process. The cure has been worse than the disease with this level of absurdity.

Speaking of playoffs, gonna say it here, if our boys don`t get in, for as much as I cringe having to listen to all the hoopla, I`m gonna root for the Leafs simply as they are a blast to watch and I don`t think playoff hockey will change their approach one bit

I know the sample size is off as I hear Jack Edwards more, but not only does he do his research to get pronunciations of opposing players' names correct, he gives more credit to opponents than I hear from other team's announcers. If there was ever a night where the only game on was Pitt vs. Florida, I'd watch bowling. ;)

As for the reviews, every goal scored now has a 'better wait and see if it counts' instinct for me. I've almost forgotten the experience of the excitement of a goal being scored.

I like the Leafs (when they aren't playing Boston) and it is an exciting brand of hockey they play. Heck, I even like Tampa. Drouin and Kucherov are great to watch as well.

Sens
Isles/Lightning (whoever makes it in over us)
Caps

Hell, maybe even Rangers

Then Leafs followed by Pens and Habs. Few potential playoff series I see myself rooting for the Leafs in.

Did anyone see the goal scored by 16 year old D-man Rasmus Dahlin in the SHL playoffs to help keep his team alive? Pretty nasty:

The Sharks and Wild have nosedived to the point that it's getting harder to dismiss their tailspins as 'just slumps.' It's not just that they are losing, but how they are losing.

I watched the first period of Colorado/Edmonton and I truly feel sorry for the Avalanche. Every mistake ends up costing them.

Chicago was bad, and it gave some of the Panthers a chance to pad their stats in their disappointing season. I think the Hawks will be OK going forward; it happens.

I don't know if this makes me a bad person, but I did laugh at Micheal Haley's punch-to-the-face of Calle Jarnkrok. It was late in a one-sided game, and of all the people for Jarnkrok to hit from behind, it had to be Haley.

It is huge if Andersen is out for the Leafs. They have a very tough schedule to end the season. No real info on what it is though. While they have good scoring, they certainly don't play the same way without Andersen in net.

The fans were so cocky and idiotic on our board after that win against the Bruins, and on the main board with the Bruins collapsing thread, hopefully a major jinx.

Is no one giving the Canes a shot?

7-0-3 in their last 10 and right back in the thick if it.

2 back of TB with a game in hand
3 back of NYI with a game in hand
5 back of B's with 2 games in hand

And their next two games are back-to-back at home against Detroit

It will also be the 2nd and 3rd games of a back to back to back for Detroit as well as having to travel after the 1st game.

Make up game from the ****** ice incident.

Carolina has definitely snuck up there.

Doesn't seem like back to back home games against the same team happens very often.

I'll be glad when Detroit is officially eliminated.

With the Hawks losing 7-0 last night I'm glad Tampa is their next game, fully expect to see the Hawks win that one.

Interesting development with the USA hockey and the women's world championship dispute. Lots of pressure being applied. Good on the male players to lend their support. It's a "we're all in this together" statement that demonstrates they recognize the situation needs to be corrected for the good of the program and hockey in general.

Word circulating among NHL players that American players will refuse to play in men's World Championships in solidarity with the women."

I sure hope that if the Bruins are still battling for position on the final day of the season, the Capitals have secured whatever it is they are shooting for, and rest at least Holtby if no one else.

Most unprofessional announcers in any sport. ****ing unbearable. Reminds of me of some of the regional pro wrestling telecasts from the early 1980s. NHLN is moronic to use that feed.

this is something Habs and Bruins fans can agree on... I CAN'T stand these 2 morons. I find Edwards a true homer but he makes the game fun and he still is intense in the opponents goal calls. Staggy and Errey are the worst!

Edwards is a homer as is Brick but I have listened to plenty of broadcasts of theirs over the last few years specifically where they didn`t sugarcoat this teams pitiful performances coming down the home stretch. They may not skewer the team like we do/did nor did they let them off the hook bypassing what we all were watching
