Flames just scored twice in 80 seconds to take the lead 2-1 over Panthers. Get a couple more!

And don't allow multiple wraparound goals, Chad.

Canes outshooting the Sens 11-2 ten minutes into the game. On pace for 66-12 :sarcasm:

Think multiple teams had it that season.

Just googled it. Ducks had four players, Wild five, and Devils and Rangers two each to go with Crosby.

Läck, who had .856 SVS% in 7 games going into the game, shut out the Sens with 34 saves. Maybe Khudobin inspired him. :)

And we're officially in a better spot than the Panthers. They have one game in hand but are two points behind and four(!) ROW behind. That they're so close shows you what influence loser points can have.

If Islanders lose tomorrow we pass them too. And same with Toronto of course (though in that game I'll only hope for no OT).

Best case scenario so far. Lets hope Habs get belted tomorrow and the Avs beat Buffalo. And dont gimme any of that "but the points" BS with the Habs, I will never, ever ever ever support that puke of a franchise even at our own detriment. Can't do it.

Nice to get a little help - thanks Calgary and Carolina!

With no late games tonight, I found curling on NBCSN. I don't have much of an understanding of what's going on, but it's fascinating to watch.

Finish with the most stones closest to the middle. If you have three closer than the opponent you score three.

Fun to play and surprisingly a real workout of the muscles. Also a criminally underrated group drinking/social game to join into a low level league and play.

It's an awesome sport Aeroforce. Much like golf you can play it at any stage of life in competitive or non competitive situations with all male, all female or a combination of the two making up a team. Unlike golf, you can get a much greater physical workout in doing it. Lost of strategy involved also makes it more entertaining.

Have a good friend who more recently relocated to Denver and spearheaded the building of a brand new facility. The response from the community has been outstanding. Most clubs will offer free clinics for introducing the game to potential new curlers. Bonus, for those who are inclined, is you can enjoy your favourite adult beverage before, during and after the game. Customary for the winning team to buy the first round for both teams following a match.

For folks who are involved with playing sports most of their lives it is a perfect transition from the more physically demanding and injury prone options like hockey, baseball, soccer, etc. Those type of sports can often have far reaching issues should you incur a significant injury. As you get older that becomes a much more important consideration for most in choosing sports to become or remain involved with.

"Hurry hard" to your neighbourhood club add check it out! If you enjoy playing sports you will not be disappointed.

Edit: followed a world curling tour bonspiel a few weeks ago that was being played in Arizona. Much like hockey the sport has grown in non traditional markets. There may well be facilities established in Texas as well.

Part 2: Bingo! Club in Houston and it offers the free clinics for new curlers. I'll stop now with my harassing you to try it out.
