At one time it was.

When ticket prices exceed what the average fan can pay, the building tends to be filled with people who go to be seen, rather than scream for the Rangers.

Maybe if the tickets were slashed 30% across the board, resales are all but eliminated, and no tickets can be sold outside of tri-state zip codes...

Also, throw out 90% of the corporate seats while we're at it.

The overwhelming amount of people at the Predators games own the seats they're sitting in.

That's not the case in the Garden.

I got offered season tickets to Slovan Bratislava (30 home games) for $550. You'd think those are some nosebleed seats but no... Rink-side seats, right next to the bench.

Let that sink in.

One of the amazing things about being a fan is that your rooting isn't based in logic. You feel the way you feel.

If I had to guess, it's because I love watching Crosby and Malkin.

Yes, Crosby was a crybaby his first couple of seasons, but since then he hasn't been. He plays the game exactly how it should be played. Yet, many still cling to the falsehood that he's still a crybaby. By the way, Crosby became Crosby for the first time since his concussion, in this game.

Malkin is also an amazing player to watch, yet he is condemned for being dirty. He slew-foots a few times a year, but in this series, to me, the Predators have been the far dirtier team.

I'm also surprised about all the love here for Subban, who to me has been perhaps the most unlikable player in the series. I am going to get a kick out of when fans here turn on Subban in the future for something he does against the Rangers.

Fair enough. I won't tell you you're wrong, I was just curious :)

It's a team game, you're giving too much credit to two mentally weak players on a good team. Dirty is dirty it happens when you're winning or losing. They aren't being dirty they're being poor losers.

I utterly reject the notion that Malkin and Kessel are mentally weak. I feel the same way when any fan says that any NHL player is mentally weak. They all play through injuries that would make the average fan go into a fetal position.

I'd take those "mentally weak" players on my team any day of the week.

You are form Netherlands, no? How did you get to Slovan season tickets?

No Ranger fan roots for the Penguins, it's just not possible. You might as well move to Pittsburgh

There are a few good things that may occur if the Pens with the Cup:

Kessel gets another ring, which means the better Kessel gets to hang out with the cup again.
Hagelin gets another ring

People finally stop saying Toews is better than Crosby bc CUPZ.

That's still a thing people think?

Thanks for being curious and not just spouting knee-jerking nonsense like a couple of other posters. It's more fun this way. I appreciate it.

I can't believe a fan of the game would call Malkin and Kessel mentally weak.

Amazing.

Wait, what? Someone actually said this, especially after the run Kessel had last year? Malkin is over a PPG in the playoffs for his career and Kessel has 63 points in 69 games. Every time Kessel has the puck on his stick he's dangerous.

I am moving to Vienna this month. Bratislava is only 40 minutes from Vienna. Definitely worth the travel to watch KHL games.

That is great. The prices are very good for foreigners from Western Europe to watch 2nd best league in the world. The atmosphere during the games is ecstatic. Unfortunately, looks like Slovan will not be very good this season. Many important players signed with other teams after last season and Slovan wil have very hard time to find adequate replacements.
