Listening to NHL Tonight talking heads about an agreement in place between LV and CBJ. The amount of value Columbus is allegedly giving up seems very excessive. It makes "local" suggestions of 1st and Staal to Vegas for not picking Lindberg, Fast, Raanta etc laughable from LV perspective.

Not for nothing, but looking at the lists that have come out, if I'm Vegas, I would (in a vacuum) take Mrazec and Raanta as G's and take Rust from Pittsburgh.

Except that, from just about all accounts I've read, Vegas is going to take MAF.

That leaves 4 spots if you go 8 skaters. The only way they can protect Manson is to expose Rakell. That's a tough decision. They were never going to expose Fowler or Lindholm

Exposing Fowler is a tough one. Anaheim is probably worst off of all teams in the NHL which could result in GMs low-balling offers and then Anaheim not accepting. It really diminishes value and gives the opposing party the upper hand in negotiations

Thank god for the NHL prohibiting teams from buying out injured players. This is absolutely fantastic drama
