Pretty good prospect that'll be in good company with Kucherov, Namestnikov and Vasilevsky, and an okay 2nd rounder in an okay draft.

I thought he would have went for a bit more. If it were the Rangers would you have given up Skjei and a 2nd for Drouin?

Vegas timing helps add value for Tampa. This now means Tampa can protect Alex Killorn as well (especially since it doesn't look like Callahan was willing to waive his NMC).

I wouldn't based on the state of NYR defense and that Skjei is already a roster player (and over group of forwards is at least acceptable). The Habs essentially added Druin without giving up a roster player. Would they do it a couple of years from now? :dunno: Given the state of their defense, I'm sure even now it wasn't an easy decision anyway

Unless Drouin is going to play center I'm thinking Galchenhuk is on his way out for a center. Maybe to COL for Duchene?

Drouin hardly played center on the NHL level with Tampa. Not sure if he will for Montreal. But who knows.

Roster freeze for everyone but Vegas is tomorrow at 3pm. Buckle up, folks.

Things are possibly going to get entertaining or heartbreaking today.

LMAO Drouin was on radio and said #72 was just a placeholder. He normal wears #27.

Galchenyuk wears #27.

Islanders might not have a home arena soon:

It's looking like Kansas City might be a possibility (wishful thinking).

:)
The Islanders will leave N.Y. over Gary Bettman's dead body. At the very worst they stay at Barclays under a new deal. The "Barclays doesn't want the Isles" trope is a giant piece of ******** propaganda put up by Yormark when he saw the Isles wanted to ditch them. Remember that Bloomberg had to issue a retraction on its "Barclays is losing money on the Isles" story.

Ahhhh Dammit. I got my hopes up.

Do you guys think drouin is better than duchene? I think so. If that's the case bergevin did well and sakic overplayed his hand .

I dunno, but I do think both are candidates for doing better in a new environment. Now is the time in their careers for them to go somewhere new and be in a situation where lots is expected. Test them and hope for the best.
Drouin got his relocation. I bet he is tickled.
