I really hope pittsburgh doesn't win again, for another 30 years. I have such hatred for this team, and crosby in particular.

Can it get any better for Matt Murray at 23 years old?

droooools

what a doll

Matt Murray has won more cups than 15 teams in the league. He's also younger than 11 of those teams.

He is still a rookie, but has 2 rings. Unbelievable.

I knew they would win when they benched Fleury. Or was Fleury injured? I didn't watch any of it lol

rumor going around that Columbus is trading clarkson and possibly hartnell to vegas with a first rounder and a prospect...possible precursor to Kovalchuk deal?

I am interested to see where the bar will be set for taking picks for bad contracts. Clarkson has 3 years left at $5.25 per. Less likely to convince someone that he has value on the ice compared to Staal/Girardi.

AND Hartnell? No way. I could see "OR" Hartnell, but "AND"? Would think LVGK wants more than a 1st and a prospect for both those contracts. What a move that'd be by CBJ.

When you think about it, what does it really mean if your favorite team wins the Cup? Does it pay all your bills or make your life better? What is it for? Bragging rights? **** the Penguins and **** this league.

That's a good question. As you get older sports get less important in the scheme of life.

The win makes Hags' summer get-togethers with Zucc even more awkward than it was.

Exactly! I think winning it all would be great but kind of empty at the same time. 1994 was a LONG time ago, it seems.

Forgive my philosophic posts. ;)
That's also because we were so young when we last got to experience it

 So true!!

Carl Hagelin is one of 2* players drafted by the Rangers in the last 25 years (1992-present), who has won a Cup.

Todd Marchant being the other one (2007 with the Ducks)

*2 others were on Cup winning teams but didn't play in the play-offs:

Kim Johnsson in 2009-10
Marc Savard in 2010-11

I did not pick Penguins when the playoffs started. One round in, two rounds in, I still did not pick them.
Had the Predators won this it would still be a miserable SCF in my mind.Half the time this series felt like preseason games. Crap hockey.
It is over, thankfully.

Lets Go Rangers.
