A top six consisting of: Connor, Roslovic, Tuch, Garland, Bracco and Fischer could rival that of a few teams in this tournament. Lots of talent left off there.

Can't believe Connor didn't make the cut.

USA Hockey making some interesting decisions here...

I will say, I'm really excited about Bellows. He's impressed me every time I've watched him.

So Bjork, Bittner, Eansor, Hitchcock and Donato over guys like Tuch, Connor and Roslovic? Like that Keller and Bellows got invites but no Connor is shocking to me.

Strange cuts. Kills the the hype for me to watch the WJC as a Jets fan by a considerable amount with no Connor and Roslovic.

Well, TSN and Bob McKenzie up in Canada thought you were the favourite. I think they may have assumed more of the high draft picks from the US would have been named to the team. But Bob McKenzie in particular is an experienced and well connected observer of junior hockey.

As always, however, victory will go to the group tha manages to turn a collection of all stars into a team.

Last year, i ripped Team Canada for passing over some highly skilled players, and they won the Gold in the end. Who knows- same thing can happen for USA. I am not a deep close observer of USA Hockey, but please someone explain to me the rational for- Tuch, Garland, Connor, Roslovic, and Bracco not being there? Maybe i am missing something, but i had them there on my projected team. Definitely surprised with some of the selections.

Leaving off Connor is egregious. Don't mind the other 3 too much.

The one reason I could maybe see Connor left off is that his intensity is a bit of a question mark. At the WJAC last winter, he was clearly the more talented player on the ice at all times, but he seemed content to just possess the puck and skate circles around everyone else without taking any shots.

Not to derail a thread, but who did Canada pass over last year? Certainly no one of the caliber passed over by the U.S. this year...

I don't think USA wanted to put those guys in a bottom 6 role. But yeah, I would've thought they'd at least get the invite to compete for a top 6 role.

Very true. I am just really puzzled by this USA selection. I had them as the favourites for the Gold, but i just cannot understand what they did here with some of the players not invited. Maybe someone can explain me this thought process?

Tuch - Doing okay this year. Not making the jump in his game that is expected. 7th leading scorer on a loaded BC team.

Garland - USA won't take more than 1 to 2 midgets. DeBrincat is the better player.

Connor - No ****ing idea. Can't find a reason.

Roslovic - Loaded forwards group. While he is good he was more of a borderline selection whose chemistry with Matthews was his biggest strength.

Bracco - See Garland.

Garland (and Bracco) are better than Scott ****ing Eansor, yet he's the one who gets to take the second midget spot. :shakehead

I've seen a lot of Scott Eansor and I love him. Don't let the height fool you. This guy is awesome.

If he's so awesome, why can't he put up more than a PPG in the WHL as a 19 year old?

Thanks for this man. Like i said- i am not a close observer like some others, so you got to give USA Hockey benefit of the doubt. However, still scratching my head at Connor's omission.
