The invite list came out almost 2 weeks ago. I'm over the fact certain guys weren't invited. Who cares? Our top 3 lines look very strong. It's game day, worry about that.

Wow I thought Tuch was ineligible.

So no Bracco, Keller, Tuch, Connor, Garland?

But Donato, Hitchcock and Eansor are on the team?

That's shameful

Nah, it's not that big thing. Those guys are clear TOP9 guys while DonatoHitchcochEansor are gritty 4th line guys.

I think US is having well balanced team this year.

I can't believe people are content and fail to realize that the player selection we choose costs us chances foR gold medals year in and year out. The years they did it right shows.

Eansor has NO BUSINESS touching a roster like this.
Donato and Hitchcock just aren't very good, and you pick talent in these tournaments. I understand the need for grit. But don't waste an extra forward spot on a scrub.

u've made your point in this thread, the previous thread, the GDT. we know where u stand on the team selection.

Sonny Milano has fantastic hair. Very disjointed thus far, which is obviously to be expected as it's the first game of the tournament and it's a rivalry game.

Sloppy game offensively for the most part, although there were flashes when the Matthews & Dvorak lines would get rolling where you can see the probable signs of things to come.

Very good game by Nedeljkovic. He wasn't barraged by any means, but he played very well when tested. Definitely earned the #1 role going forward barring any collapse.

Belpedio/Borgen pair was awesome. If they can keep that up, and I don't see a reason why they won't, then the fears about this defense may end up unwarranted. They were fantastic individually and as a pair.

Mother of god. The amount of improvement by team USA from last tournament to this is off the charts....immeasurable. I'm in shock at how much they've improved.

Beauty game. Nedelkovic fantastic as no. 1. Defense played strong all game. Boys kept their heads after Debrincat lost his. Matthews showed he only needs half a sec to score.

Also Hicketts

Where are the people who were questioning if Belpedio and Borgen should be on the team now? They easily were the best D-pairing tonight.

Agreed, Belpedio and Borgen were great.

I thought the top line really picked it up when Boeser joined them. Tkachuk seemed to struggle to keep up at times but got better as the game went along.

Milano-Dvorak-White was probably the best line overall but I think they still have some room for improvement.

Yeah, and anyone who thinks that teams at this level are not politically chosen never had his kid sit in favor of the pee wee coach's son.
