WJC: 2016 — Sweden Roster Talk

I don't feel sad that we haven't had Willie in the line up for our games since the team works very well anyway. The thing that makes me sad is that we haven't been able to see what he would have been able to accomplish playing on the team considering how good hes looking in general nowadays.

On hockey night in Canada, Damien cox claimed that there's still the chance nylander plays. Take it for what it's worth. Hopefully Sweden gets him back, he was the guy I was most excited to see. He has improve so much from last year, he's turning into the total package.

He is not skating today. Pretty much guarantees he won't play more in this tournament.

Edit: Confirmed now. He's out of the tournament.

No kidding Nylander was the most exciting player of the tournament. That was the biggest contribution the Swiss goon team and their neanderthal coach made to this tournament.

Such a shame, was waiting to see Nylander play against Finland.

Pretty sure the decision was made by Leafs and Leafs alone.
 
Congrats Finland. It just got easier for you. Now its even more exciting with those keyplayers out for team Sweden.
 
How much was his TOI for this tournament? Like 5 minutes? Still gotta a goal and + 2. He would have torn it up. Best player in the tournament no doubt

Finally nice to see Leafs management make proper development decisions.

Get him back to Toronto, make sure he's fine, and get him back in the Marlies lineup.

He can go back to his new plastic fakecountry and his plastic hockeyclub and stay there tbh. Can't really say im suprised though given his personality. And injecting him in the lineup this late in the tournament could have had an adverse effect anyways. Atleast now the team can look forward toward actually winning games rather then worrying about this sideshow.

Yeah, It was obviously his personality that got him injured and pulled out of the tournament by the Leafs.
 
After the first few strides WN took against the Swiss I thought to myself; he will dominate this tournament. He looked like he brought the beast mode to Finland. Well, well...

He needs to work on his body position while skating... He must be more compact and never reach for pucks head first.... Remember how his father used to skate with the puck?

He should have told his american plastic club to go **** themselves. Unless they place him directly in the NHL they can pull out ****. This is all on him.
 
I agree that it should be Swedens decision if he's out or not. And I hope it was..

If they followed every step on the "councussion ladder" and he got through them all there is no reason to pull him out just as a extra precaution
