They are trying to make bluesfest more music-centric this year
Oh I know that lol, they've been doing that for the last few years actually. What I was referring to was how there was next to no mention of anything to do with Escapade in an Ottawa music festival and concerts thread. Surely there are quite a few edm fans on this board right....or is it more of a Sam Roberts and Keith Urban crowd?
Last year they had Zedd, Gareth Emery and Adventure Club. So I am expecting the same this year.
I am the exact opposite of an EDMuzak
fan, but I think there is a guy on here called mattsens (or something like that) who is a big fan

I remember reading there were more than the usual medical emergencies two years ago for Dog Blood and again last year for Zedd.
Maybe it's time for Bluesfest to walk away from that whole scene.
The belief is that a top EDM act will fill the park for one night, but a popular classic rock act will sell multi-day passes. Not hard to see why they'd rather book Whitesnake or John Fogerty than Tiesto or Swedish House Mafia.

Westfest lineup gets announced tomorrow morning. Usually have a couple nice acts, especially considering it's free.
Westfest is moving back to the street! No longer will the stage be in the brutal spot behind the grocery store! best news!
Escapade is shaping up to be huge. Not so much on the Main stage for my liking, but other stages will have ALOT to offer (Carl Cox, Digweed, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Toolroom Knight).
Still debating if I'm going this year though (have been for the last 4 years). After going to ABGT100 in NYC last year, I might make a trip to another festival or event this summer.

Scorpions (in Montreal) Sep. 19. Will be their last tour
This tour they're on is supposed to be their last tour, sure. Thing is, it's been ongoing for 2 1/2 years with no end in sight. They said they plan to play every city they ever played.
No Ottawa date yet though...

I never heard that, but there is room in the tour dates around the Montreal date. Anything is possible.

Expect the Bluesfest line-up to be announced a week today, March 24th. Early bird tickets on sale within 1-2 days of that.
