Yeah, my biggest worry about getting rid of Jones.

Watching Berube through the playoffs, that guy make some fantastic saves... and let in some ****ing brutal goals. Would liked it to work out where Jones could develop here for a couple years until he was ready to start, and Berube would be ready to move up...

Too be honest knowing what I know about Hall, he is being honest here. He likes being able to do any thing he wants without worrying about winning or pressure. He likes other things.

There's always going to be some backup goalies available on the cheap. Guys like Greiss, Khudobin are always available.

Might not be that popular but I might even look at Jeff Zatkoff. I think he'd be a fine backup for Quick, just 10-15 starts. If Quick goes down longterm we have Bartosak that can come up and play.

I know I will be alone in this but I think that Jones was merely average last season and needed to get back to very good. Granted he had challenges in front of him but I saw making mistakes in the crease that he hadn't done during his 1st season with us. We can find someone for under a Million who can do the same or more for next year. DL and co are very good at that sort of thing.

The Kings are probably watching a guy they would have taken at #13 fall. Maybe they are projecting a player they like is going to fall into the 20's.
